Lazy days like this mean the world to both of you. You were lying in bed together; Nero’s devil bringer is resting on top of you, and his head is on top of your shoulder so he can hear your soothing heartbeats.
Nero is always clingy after missions— especially the ones that make him stay away for days. Oh, how much he hates being a holy knight. And you're not complaining either; you love this version of him, all touchy and lovey.
Your hand is tracing his demonic arm —and ever since he showed you his arm. You've been so fascinated and obsessed with it. —. You're really glad that Nero trusts you enough to be this vulnerable around you— he even told you about his secret of being a demon! Your other hand went up to play with his hair, letting a purr escape from his mouth.
"So good f'me…" he groaned, moving his head to lie fully on top of your chest and nuzzling deeper, tightening his arms around.
You let out a breathy giggle, bringing the other hand that was previously playing with his arm to his head to push his hair back from his forehead. You leaned in to place a kiss on his forehead, causing him to close his eyes to live in the moment.
Nero was about to drift to sleep, already being in cloud nine from the love you were pampering him with. His grip around you was loosening a bit to fall asleep, until finally—
"You're pretty." You muttered after a while, caressing his face and jaw. His eyes opened wide; his ears turned pink. He did not expect it, nor would he admit he liked it and blushed.
"Pretty?" he propped himself up with his elbow, looking at you as if you insulted him— and you’d really believe it if you hadn’t noticed the tint appearing on his cheeks. "I'm a man. I can't be 'pretty'."
"Yeah, ok. Whatever, pretty boy." You were trying so hard to muffle your laughter, but the look on his pretty face was one of a kind. Yet Nero couldn’t help but laugh with you. And being the little shit he is, he slid one hand under your shirt to tickle you.
Your apartment fell into silence after laughter was the only thing heard in it; the only thing that's heard now is the sound of your heavy breathing and occasional quiet giggles.
Nero looked at you— really looked. As if he was studying your face and how you look beneath him to carve into his brain forever. It was impossible to hold eye contact with him due to how deeply he was glaring at you.
Slowly, his fingers went to your chin, tilting your head to meet his eyes despite trying so hard to still look annoyed at you for calling him pretty; your figure lying under him with half of your stomach exposed and giggles escaping your mouth never fails to make him melt and fall in love all over you again.
Nero had enough. He leaned in, brushing his lips against yours before capturing them in a kiss that speaks more than words.
He was never good with words; his foul mouth makes him seem harsh and look like he doesn't like anybody— and it's kind of true, but it doesn't apply to you at all. So, he prefers to pour all of his love at you through actions and kisses.
And you completely understand everything he's trying to tell you. You understand his kisses that try to tell you that he adores you; you understand his actions that tell you he trusts you. A lot. Which never fails to make butterflies grow in your stomach.
You cupped his cheeks to deepen the kiss even more to tell him you love him too in his language. Nero's now completely on top of you, trapping your head between his arms and your lower body between his legs, yet he's careful to not crush you with his weight.
You finally pulled away from each other to breathe. Nero leaned in again to rest his forehead on top of yours, panting heavily before a silly grin appeared on his face.
"Oh my god— stop looking this cute!" you immediately squealed, wrapping your arms around his neck and your legs around his middle to drop him completely on you in excitement.

What happens when your solitary, reserved Vergil Sparda, is reduced to nothing... and yours completely?
It was nothing short of a frustrating day, any minor inconvenience you could think of convenienced you. Whether it was forgetting to put a clean cup away, or your jacket falling off the hook when you came home. You stared at the jacket before letting out an exaggerated huff, snatching it off of the ground and, roughly but neatly, putting your shoes back in place beside the front door.
Hunting demons was no easy task, especially with no set expectations, just unfiltered, spontaneous attacks left and right. Some being predictable, some not. Your clothes were dirtied, soaked in grime, dirt, and blood... both demon, and yours.
You didn't know why you were so angry today, maybe you didn't get enough of rest, or you just... weren't having it today. Walking into the laundry room, you drop your jacket atop of the washer machine, about to turn your body and walk to your bedroom— before something caught your eye. You saw a small note, from none other than your lover.
In slightly messy but coordinated handwriting, you read...
" You fell asleep quite early last night. Have you been avoiding your needed rest these past few days? I moved your clothes into the dryer for you. I will be home soon.
Vergil. "
So he's paying attention, you thought. Vergil was always an attentive boyfriend, he pinged your favorite color in a matter of seconds, recognized your sleep schedule within just a few weeks of living together, he can even spot your injuries before you do. He loves you, and you love him.
Smiling to yourself, you kept the note where it was and opened the dryer, grabbing a comfy outfit, and finally taking a shower after a long day.
Later.
You'd have just brushed your hair and pulled on a tanktop after drying off, now adjusting in your shared bedroom, standing infront of the long mirror. It was only slightly startling to hear the door shut behind you, looking over, Vergil had managed to enter the house without making a single sound. He was... clean, surprisingly so after just returning from a mission. Efficient, as always.
"I see you received my note." He said, approaching your form.
He loomed over your side, leaning down and pressing a silent, soft kiss to your temple. You only scoffed softly.
"I need you to do the dishes and clean the living room tomorrow." You ordered, facing the mirror as you set the brush down on your wardrobe. You can see the slightly puzzled expression on his face.
"...Anything else?" He prompted, not the answer you were expecting... his acceptance, it was refreshing, but, he was a bit quiet.
"Hmm... You might as well tidy up the kitchen while you're at it, I'm going to be out with Trish all day tomorrow too."
Vergil's eyebrows subtly twitched inwards, dipping his chin down ever so slightly. He wasn't angry, not at you, even if he was. He was more intrigued with the fact of you bossing him around.
"I will do just that, then." He murmured, nodding whilst bringing a gloved hand to your waist. The Yamato was placed on your wardrobe, with your hairbrush, freeing his hands. You let out a hum, watching him watch you.
"I wanna lay down." You said, raising an eyebrow.
"Let's." He answered.
"Rub my back." You laid down, tucking your arms under your plush pillow.
"Alright." He sat behind you, gloves forgotten on your nightstand as his hands snaked under your tanktop.
"Turn the lamp off."
"Of course."
"More to my sides..."
"Right here?"
"That's perfect..."
"I'm glad you're relaxing."
Vergil was doing everything you told him without question, while it was a bit suspicious... holding this type of power was very satisfying. His hands were skilled, rubbing into the knots and kinks in your muscles, especially near your shoulders. He heard you sign each time his palms caressed your sides, following the soft dip of your figure and your hips.
His eyes narrowed as he slowly traced down your spine, following your lower back and cupping your hips in his large palms.
There, he paused. His eyes lingering on your spine.
While you were a bit sleepy, you lifted your head just enough to peek behind you, noticing the shift in Vergil's demeanor. It was almost like...
Vergil...
...was holding back.
Raising an eyebrow, you hummed out to him.
"Mh...? Everything ok?" You chimed, propping yourself on your elbows. The curve of your spine made him sigh, lips parting and eyes closing. When he met your eyes again, he was clearly set in desire, but he only pushed you back down.
"Don't put your worry on me. Let's focus on you tonight."

nero sparda x demon hunter!gn!reader. wc: 570. fluff, dmc5 nero after fighting with myself to make it dmc4 nero, i made him extra sappy in this fic by accident but idc— he's sappy in nature. requested.
With a final blow from your weapon, the last demon fell to the ground motionless.
Silence filled the place after you successfully killed every demon in it. You sighed and took a moment to catch your breath and gather your thoughts before checking your weapons, ensuring they were intact.
After you checked them, you turned your back to the motionless dead demons to leave the place, already imagining the takeout you'll get on your way home, you eat it after a long, steamy shower before you nuzzle into your blanket and take your much needed sleep.
But your sweet little imaginations were interrupted by a stubborn demon who still wants to get you.
You didn’t get the chance to even react before a gunshot echoed and a bullet hit the demon right in its head, making it fall back and really stay dead as it should be.
A man appeared after it, walking closer to the scene. Short white hair, gorgeous blue eyes, a big sword strapped to his back, and a big gun in his right arm— and his prosthetic, cool left arm.
"What a show you put up moments ago." The man praised the 'show' you didn't realize it had an audience with a grin on his face. He was… good-looking, if you want to admit.
"Oh, thanks," your face warmed up a little, you were used to working alone all the time, so when a guy— an attractive guy— watches you work and compliments your work?? You are so not used to it. "But I guess I didn't really plan out the outro really well."
This caused the guy to chuckle a little bit, scratching the back of his neck. "Are you okay though? Oh— and by the way, I'm Nero."
You let out a small 'mhm' at his question before telling him your name —which he also complimented— "Are you a demon hunter too? Never saw you before." You asked, pointing to his weapons. You know mostly of the demon hunters in Red Grave and the legendary demon hunter himself— Dante Sparda. But you never saw Nero before, and he does look like Dante if you squint a little.
"Yeah, I run a Devil May Cry branch back in Fortuna— my hometown. I'm only here because Dante called me to help him with some sort of job."
You nodded in response. You've heard that Devil May Cry had a branch in Fortuna but didn't really bat an eye at it.
"Hey, uhm—" Nero talked again after an awkward silence filled the place between you, sheepishly smiling and scratching the back of his neck again before continuing. "Wanna grab a coffee sometime later tomorrow? It's totally okay if you don’t want to—"
"Sure, why not!" you cut him off, accepting his offer gladly, rocking back and forth on the balls of your feet. "Does 2pm work for you?"
"Yeah, it totally works with me!" a huge smile appeared on his face as he rushed to get his phone out of his pocket to save your number, sneakingly saving your contact as "cute fellow demon hunter ;)" after thanking you and you walking away. Even if he had something at 2pm with Dante— Dante can deal with it alone, he's the legendary demon hunter for a reason.
It's safe to say that Nero didn't get any sleep that day due to how excited he was for the next day.

the first dates with nero are often filled with awkward silence, yet they're the sweetest moments.
nero is awkward in the beginning of the relationship. he turns completely red whenever you make the first move and touch his hand on dates, he scratches the back of his neck sheepishly when he gifts you something —necklaces and handmade stuff most of the time—, dropping you off to your apartment and won't leave till you're inside, flinches when you touch his demonic arm— he has no clue why are you always touching this arm specifically.
your dates are more likely to just walk around fortuna while eating ice cream, or going to a concert, or just taking kids from the orphanage for a walk with you. even though nero turns into a tomato when a kid says that his partner is gorgeous.
over time, he would open up to you too much and treat you like you're his dude or something. nero would shove his whole hand into your mouth when you yawn, he would punch the air really close to your face when he got bored, he would carry you like you weighed nothing and throw you to the other side of the couch to just sit where you were sitting.
nero does have his romantic moments when he feels you're everything in his world and he appreciates you so much for staying with him and loving him despite his reality and such, but he acts like it's nothing and looks at you weirdly when you tear up at his gift and cover his face with kisses.
nero isn't the best when it comes to words, so he prefers to show his love to you with physical touch and acts of service. you had a long day yesterday and you're tired? you're waking up to breakfast in bed and your coffee— just like how you like it— is ready too. your car broke down and you can't afford to fix it? don't ask how and when, but nero knows how to fix it and he'd do it for you— shirtless too. (and he has the audacity to act confused when you oogle at him shamelessly and kiss him after he's finished with your car because—in his words—he's covered in dirt and car oils and he does not look good with all of that.)
also, he's very flexible with the places you pick for your dates—even though he prefers staying indoors and going to places where there aren't many people). if you wanna go to a cafe or a restaurant that opened not so long ago and you wanna try it? sure, no problem! but he is paying and would peck your lips to shut up about it. you want to go to the mountains in Fortuna and see the whole island from above? he'd be so down— but he's bringing his red queen and blue rose with him just in case. he does not joke about your safety. you wanna spend the whole day indoors instead of going out? it's ok, he'll stay with you and do whatever you want to do, watch a movie, play video games, or just sit around doing nothing and not talking— and he'd have his hand drawing circles and squeezing your thighs all the time. And please play with his hair if you want him to purr and be on cloud nine. —and yes, Nero purrs, and I'm a firm believer of this.

DANTE notices your mood swings and the pain expressions you make quickly before you tell him that you got your period and his attitude would change immediately. He deeply cares for you and he’s willing to do anything to take care of you, even when it means leaving his wacky personality for a while.
He’d tone his jokes down if they might make you upset or mad, he tries to cook your comfort food that helps with cramps —he burns it, but the attempt counts.— and he massages your aching body without you asking him. He just knows what you need without any communication.
And he’d be your human demon heated blanket. He knows he runs warmer than the average human—and can control it—so he uses this ability to soothe your cramps and keep you warm.
Dante noticed the huffed groan as you try to adjust your position in bed when you were cuddling with him, so he gets to work to try to make you feel better and ease the pain. He might be terrible at taking care of himself and neglecting himself, but he’d never neglect your pain and he’s willing to do anything to help you.
Oh, he WILL baby you and coo at you when you tell him your cramps are killing you, he’d say something like “aww, my poor baby. C’mere.”
He makes you lie against him, and your back against his warm chest as he wraps his arms around your waist. His —now demonic hand just like in dmc4— hands slid down your —his— baggy shirt to rest on top of your lower abdomen. Being a half-demon, he can control his body temperature and the body parts he can devil trigger in, and he is using it for his advantage to help you. His clawed hands grew warm, working like a heated pad and a massager as he drew soothing circles to ease the cramps.
You melt under his touch, letting out a sigh you’ve been holding for so long as the pain goes away. And when you think this is enough, oh boy, he’s not done.
He began leaving trails of kisses on your exposed shoulder from your extra baggy shirt to your cheek, lingering for a second leaving a warm kiss on your temple.
“Atta girl. Just let me help you, hmm?”
VERGIL lived alone and isolated in hell for 20 whole years so he knows nothing about periods and how painful they can be. Yet, he doesn’t believe you’re exaggerating when your cramps kick in— but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to understand it and try to help, he just needs patience.
Just like Dante, he notices when you grunt whenever you move around the house and kneel to get something. At first, he thinks you are injured and immediately perks up to check on you and make sure you’re okay.
When you tell him about your cramps, he’d ask you how to help you to soothe the pain away without hesitation, annndd he has a notebook only to write down ways to help you during the time of the month and everything about periods in general—he won't admit it but he also has a calendar to track your cycle—. And don’t freak out when you find him being a little bit too clingy and always lingering around when you get your period, that’s just his way of making sure you’re okay —and because he’s awkward and still trying to understand human anatomy.—
Vergil perked up when he heard you groaning in the kitchen as you slightly bent down towards the open fridge to grab some painkillers, thinking you got hurt during a recent mission and dismissed your injuries.
“You’re hurt. You should’ve said something earlier.” He scolded you with a firm yet soft tone —after all, he can’t get really mad at you—, hovering over you and checking your body for any hints of injury with his eyes.
“I’m not hurt, verge. It’s just period cramps. I got my period this morning.” You calmed him down by saying you’re not injured and it’s only your cramps. His shoulders dropped down in relief and his expression softened as he realized it’s only your period and you’re not hurt.

When you both lie next to each other in bed, you sigh while you try to soothe the pain with a hand on your lower abdomen. Without a word, he put his large, calloused hand on top of yours, covering it as he nudged closer to you and allowed you to put your head on top of his chest.

NERO is more… human than his father and uncle. He had a seemingly normal life— a human life, so he knows about periods and how to deal with cramps. And just like them, he notices the switch in your overall personality and the moment he notices it, he's activating protective boyfriend mode.
he so would handle your mood swings and demands. He's always available for cuddles if you want some, and he'd so respectfully give you time if you don’t want to at the moment. And if you're hungry and craving something, he'd so lock in to cook you whatever you want and it'd be made with love too.
Between the four, Nero knows what to do the most. He gets pads/tampons on his way back from missions when he notices that you're running out of them in the morning, he gets you your favorite snacks and he keeps your heater fully charged and ready to use in case you need it. —which you won't need after discovering his devil bringer.—
Nero saw that you were standing with your shoulders stiff as you cut fruits in the kitchen. he walked up behind you and wrapped one arm around you as he propped his chin on your shoulder, his hand splayed over your stomach out of habit. "Hey, sweet stuff. Are you okay? You seem a bit tense…"
You instinctively leaned back against his chest, his warm palm easing the pain. "Yeah, don't worry. I just started my period this morning and cramps are killing me."
Nero frowned a bit when you mentioned cramps. Why didn’t you tell him in the first place when it first started? He immediately took the knife out of his hand while fussing about not saying anything to him. He gently took your arm and pulled you out of the kitchen and to the couch so you can rest while he takes care of you and does the rest of the work.
He came back with a bowl of fruits and a drink on the side. He tucked himself behind you —after taking permission from you of course, he's a gentleman after all, and respects your space when you're on your period— and wrapped his arms around you to warm you up with his body heat.
After that, you'll never get off the couch and do something, because Nero is trapping you on the couch and will not let you lift a finger as long as he's breathing. He'll take care of everything, and when I say everything, I mean every single thing. He'll clean, he'll cook, he'll feed your pets if you have any and he'll always be available for your needs too.
V hasn't been around much to about periods and the cramps and such. His past self was a slave to mundus and literally died, and his human side was neglected. So yeah, he knows absolutely nothing.
Yet, that doesn't mean he won't do what he can to help you during that time of the month. He'd made shadow lie on your lap to warm your abdomen and will make Griffon shut up so he won't disturb you and make you get irritated more than you already are due to cramps.
V will even offer to read to you while he plays with your hair because he knows his voice calms you down and lulls you to sleep.
When it first happened, V would be reading the book he always carries with Shadow curled around his feet in Nico's van's steps after a mission. Looking up only when a sigh came out from you as you exited the mini bathroom caught his attention.
You sat down next to him with your hand on your lower abdomen, rubbing it to make the pain go away for a little bit. V immediately closed his book to turn his full attention to you when he noticed you're in pain.
"You seem like you're in pain. Did something happen during the mission I wasn't aware of?" he said in that calm voice of his that never failed to make you forget everything and just focus on him only.
"Nothing happened... I just got my period and the cramps are killing me." Shadow lifted her head to look at you as soon as you started talking.
He looked at you confused, muttering "your cramps?" as he tried to remember what are those. You slightly chuckled as you explained what cramps are and what's happening to you at the moment, while also complaining about not bringing your heat pack with you and how it'd help you with the pain. Suddenly, a lightbulp appeared on top of his head.
He looked at Shadow, who was already getting up, and tilted his head towards you, shadow got closer to you and lay her head on your lap in the hope of being helpful. V wrapped his arm around your shoulder to pull you close and to lay your head on top of his shoulder before kissing the top of your head.
"That must be painful, dearest. Hopefully, I can be helpful to soothe the pain away a little."

You don’t know how you held your yawn; his holiness is talking about Sparda and how he saved humanity for the millionth time— you've actually lost count by now. His speeches are all the same as you memorize them all.
Your eyes wandered around the church, looking at the holy knights one by one until your eyes landed on a white-haired man— your boyfriend, Nero.
He's standing with his head high, his arms behind his back, and his eyes narrowed. Your gaze turned from a bored one to a full-of-love one as you kept staring at him in the hope that he’d recognize you. Nero felt your eyes on him and turned his head slightly in your direction.
His eyes immediately softened as it landed on you, the corner of his lips twitched to a smirk and his breath got caught. You teased by smirking back and lifting your eyebrows. You tilted your head slightly towards the exit and he understood what you meant.
You made a lame excuse to the person next to you about going to the restroom or something like that and left after looking at Nero one last time. He waited a few minutes before leaving quietly to follow you so no one would speculate anything
Nero found you outside waiting for him to appear. He walked towards you with his hand on his sword on his hips, his steps rushed to reach you faster. “Hey.”
“Hi.” You giggled softly as you tilted your head up to meet his eyes. “I got bored. I missed you.”
“Yeah?” he teased, he got closer to you and leaned in until his eyes were the same level as yours. His blue eyes are deep into yours, he doesn’t understand —and will never understand—how his eyes do wonders to you, they’re enough to make your knees buckle and your stomach flip a thousand times in a split second, making you fall in love all over again. “Missed me so much you skipped service? Gotta pay attention, sweetheart.”
“Shut up!” You hit his chest jokingly; he never failed to make you flustered. He caught your wrists with ease and pulled you flush against him. He wrapped his arms around you and pressed his chin on top of your head. “You’re cute when you get all shy and blushy.”
You groaned against his chest as you wrapped your arms around him, burying your face in his chest and nuzzling even further.
Nero brought his hands up to run his fingers through your hair. He closed his eyes, living in the moment as his fingers never stopped running through your hair. Spending time like this even on Sunday service makes him forget everything he has been through this day and with The Order.
Even with his terrible reputation and the fact that he's known for his foul mouth, Nero is incredibly sweet with you— yes, he's a tease sometimes, but he never treated you the same way he treats the other holy knights when they try to only interact with him. Nero's always angry and moody when he's on duty, but with you, he looks like a completely different person. He's sweet, soft-spoken, and never raised his voice at you.
“Nero! Where did you go!?” a voice calling Nero interrupted your moment. Nero pulled away as he recognized the voice— it’s his annoying partner who hates to see Nero have some fun.
Nero’s smile widened as an idea crossed his mind. “Hold tight!” Nero grabbed your hand while laughing and started running away with you, you giggled as you tried so hard to keep up with his inhuman speed.
If it wasn’t for Nero serving as a holy knight and always present in masses and Sunday services, you wouldn't even think about going.
