Undertale's No Mercy route ending with Chara talking to player led many people to erroneously assume that Chara was the source of the actions in that route. The purpose of that final scene was to directly tell the player that the result of No Mercy was entirely because of the Player's actions.

People legitimately read this and then said "Damn, Chara's so fucking evil, what a monster."

Weird Route screams that it's the Player's actions and not Kris's in having Noelle comment on how Kris is acting VERY odd. The biggest indicator is that when Kris is downed in the Berdly fight, Noelle talks about still being able to hear "their" voice. The voice speaking through Kris is the Player, NOT Kris.

Chapter 4 solidifies this in the revelation that Kris wanted Noelle to NOT talk about it, in case the Player hears. Specifically, for the route to continue, you have to select "Me" when answering Noelle in who might hear, and once again Noelle will comment on how Kris's voice is entirely different.

All the "bad" routes in Undertale and Deltarune are 100% the Player's own doing. Always were, always will be. You have to make the active choice to begin those routes and stay on them despite there being countless opportunities to exit, and the game will tell you to your face that this is all your actions as the Player.

Anyone trying to say Chara is evil or somehow trying to blame Kris for No Mercy or Weird are 100% FACTUALLY incorrect.

sometimes Sophia refers to my chest in a really objectifying way. she calls them milk jugs and stuff. it's really out of character for her which makes it really impactful. kind of awesome but I wish there was actual desire behind her words and it wasn't just lip service
