Here's one for the nerds! (at New York, New York)
I've assembled a whole team! (at New York, New York)
My nerdacy knows no limits! (at New York, New York)
Another D&D style portrait! (at New York, New York)
A personal piece I did set in #kaladesh for #magicthegathering. I hope you enjoy it! (at New York, New York)
I'm really proud of this piece and I hope some of you can find enjoyment in it too. (at New York, New York)
Here is the latest thing from my easel to your screens! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. As always I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the amazing cosplay model Lady Zero for allowing me to use her likeness.
#inktober #inktober2016 #cats #catpeople #penandink (at New York, New York)
A private commission that I recently finished (shared with permission of course). #biker #harley #harleydavidson (at New york Bronx)
Here is the latest oil painting in my cosplay artists series. This time it is the always amazing and lovely LadyLemonCosplay! Check her out on Facebook and don’t forget to check me out while you are there!
Here are a couple more Shadowrun cyberpunk pen and ink pieces. I hope people enjoy seeing these as much as I enjoy making them!
Here are few characters done in pen and ink, inspired by the writings of William Gibson and the cyberpunk RPG Shadowrun.
Here is a family portrait I just finished as a private commission. I really enjoyed doing this piece and playing around with the setting to give it a surreal bent.
The only possible follow-up to yesterday's post would be this one. Titled 'Antihero' this piece is the conclusion of the #heroes #story. Don't worry, my brother was okay with his fall from grace because I made him look very#DirtyHarry!
Something interesting about this piece, title Hero, is that it is a #illustrationof my older #brother Doug. We shot the reference in a #GrandRapids#alleyway between a restaurant and a parking garage. The pose was an impromptu idea of Doug's and I loved the way it turned out.
Is this villainous character I painted really a metaphor for self-doubt?claustrophobia? what do you see in the illustration?
I believe that science fiction and fantasy operate in much the same way that mythology and folk tales use to. It is a mechanism through which we can explore and know ourselves. Every werewolf, vampire, or zombie had to first be the victim of a werewolf, vampire, or zombie...because we all know that violence propagates itself through violence.
