Shout out to the good Professor Amry Talter, who has been having such a time of it that she's been traveling with a guy who repeatedly cracks jokes about how dead he is, and who makes legitimate plans with his companions based on how dead he is, and seemingly has not clocked that he is 100% serious about how dead he is.
omg please amry stay forever (and maybe flirt some with occtis????)
Taisha study. Enjoy 🫡 rlyyyy excited for more seekers tableeee
I'm sorry but the only buffy reboot I want is the anthology, where every episode we meet a new slayer, and all of those women are of various ages, not just schoolgirls and twenty-somethings and are from different countries. they fight silly and unique monsters of the week on top of casual vamps and in a middle of episode they need a key piece of information, so they like "What Would Buffy Do" and then they just call her and she's always in some epic geenscreen backdrop location, fighting fuckass practical effect puppet and having a time of her life, while casually solving the current issue herself or outsource it to any other of our beloved character. I refuse to believe in a world where Buffy in her 40s isn't having fun, fully accepted herself, flirty and thriving.
my much awaited john body ref... can you guys tell im normal about him
textless version below...
some extra details i forgot to include in the ref!
including: his bag! claude got him an iphone specifically to text him / contact him, and he begrudgingly keeps it on his person except for when he leaves on random missions and delving into the unknown.
he keeps claude's feather on him for good luck, and though it's assumed to be because of his angelic properties, it's moreso about the relief john gets from having a piece of his partner on his person. that belief is what gives him good luck / keeps him protected.
his bag of mysteries include whatever he needs for the week that he's procured. usually contains common potion / hex ingredients / balms, but always adds depending on the con he needs to run or whatever mission he's running around with.
his eyes glow in the dark ❤️another side effect of nergal's blood altering his biology, also gives him night-vision, but works against him in harsh sunlight as his (blue) eyes are naturally more sensitive. gives him more headaches, matter of fact. his eyes also change colorwise to become lighter than the average range of blue, very icey, almost ghostly in the hue of his eyes. it's close to white in direct sunlight.
his pupils rarely change shape, always remaining shrunk/small in size, which contributes to his stare being off-putting to normal folk. his eyes give off the feeling of having no pupils at all.
added an extra expression! he's usually seen frowning / squinting / grumbling but he, like all johns, is an incredible softie. said softness tends to show on his face.
additional headcanons:
john is dominant in his right hand, but is actually ambidextrous— he's trained himself to use both of his hands for precision work in the case of one being incapacitated / injured.
demon blood makes him run hotter than the average human, so he's actually pretty warm and fuzzy to be around. can't say the same about his personality.
he's also faster than the average human because of said demon blood, but still runs out of stamina and well. smoker's lungs. works in short bursts of speed for a quick getaway but don't expect him to run a chase and not have to double over for breath 1/4th of the way.
overusage of magic causes migraines and nosebleeds. in extreme cases / extreme overusage he starts bleeding from his eyes and ears too. this also happens when he gets overwhelmed with a particularly powerful surge of synchronicity / if he tries to alter the wave in any shape or form.
he's amazing at card shuffling, card tricks, and card "magic" tricks— similarly he's also great at drink mixing because he considered being a bartender as a "normal" life gig for a while.
he's not at all physically strong but does have leverage because of his larger build— usually tends to puff up / try to take advantage of this to appear bigger so he can scare any potential fighters away when he's said too much in a bar fight. still throws a mean right hook though.
i got a buuunch of headcanons for him but if anyone's curious they can drop an ask and i can yap even more :D
ngl, i lost quite a bit of respect for margot robbie for accepting to participate in this movie, and all for jacob elordi
as someone who knows nothing about the books, watched the other shows, liked them but was never the biggest fan of GOT past the first few seasons, how is A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms this good? It just sneaked up on me and by the end of episode 4 I was having full body chills when the credits rolled.
finally got back to continuing ds9. remembering how much i love them.
Fairly confident someone already pointed this out, but I keep thinking about how in Loustat's last dance scene
they fudged with the usual arm placement.
Louis's hand being on top (of Lestat's hand and shoulder) implies that Lestat is leading. Except that Lestat's arm going out to the right would be if Louis was leading.
As someone who's danced as both (and occasionally led from the follower's position) I had to see if I was remembering correctly but yes! It's an aesthetic mix of who's in control of the dance! And their situation
Love in Star Trek when there’s a character who’s regularly anywhere but their station. In TNG it’s Data being in engineering (he wants to see Geordi), in ds9 it’s Julian being in ops (he wants to gossip), and in TOS it’s Bones being on the bridge (he wants to instigate and be close to the drama).
watching DS9 and omg do worf pisses me off with the way he treats jadzia, this wedding doesn't make a microbit of sense to me.
i am not a psychiatrist but i do find it really weird how autism checklists are so often focused on "outward" signs of autism rather than what is going on internally. i don't know how to explain it but "do you make eye contact with other people" feels like a much less relevant question than "how does it feel when you have to make eye contact with other people?"
while i'm here, the other one that always pisses me off is "do you interpret idioms literally, for example 'bull in a china shop'?"
well, no, obviously. i know what "bull in a china shop" means because that is a popular phrase with a clearly defined meaning. and if i hadn't heard it before, then i would still not interpret it literally, because it has the cadence of an idiom and i would probably be able to work out from context what it meant. what is the point of this question
third and final complaint: "are you good at noticing subtext?"
i feel like the problem with this question is best illustrated by a conversation i had with a friend a while back, where i said something like, "i feel very safe with you because you don't do subtle hints and you are always very straight-up with me about what you are thinking and feeling."
and he laid a hand on my shoulder and was like, look dude i'm gonna be straight up here. i am subtle with you constantly and you simply do not notice <3
@luckyybones hope you don't mind me screenshotting but you are actually so correct

i'm begging you guys to start pirating shit from streaming platforms. there are so many websites where you can stream that shit for free, here's a quick HOW TO:
1) Search for: watch TITLE OF WORK free online
2) Scroll to the bottom of results. Click any of the "Complaint" links
3) You will be taken to a long list of links that were removed for copyright infringement. Use the 'find' function to search for the name of the show/movie you were originally searching for. You will get something like this (specifics removed because if you love an illegal streaming site you don't post its url on social media)
4) each of these links is to a website where you can stream shit for free. go to the individual websites and search for your show/movie. you might have to copy-paste a few before you find exactly what you're looking, but the whole process only takes a minute. the speed/quality is usually the same as on netflix/whatever, and they even have subtitles! (make sure to use an adblocker though, these sites are funded by annoying popups)
In conclusion, if you do this often enough you will start recognizing the most dependable websites, and you can just bookmark those instead. (note: this is completely separate from torrenting, which is also a beautiful thing but requires different software and a vpn)
you can also download the media in question (look for a "download" button built into the video window, or use a browser extension such as Video DownloadHelper.)
if the "Complaint" links are not visible for you:
Option 1: try the DuckDuckGo search engine instead (bonus: dedicated to privacy! doesn't track your data!)
Option 2: go directly to LumenDatabase.org (the website that collects the complaints--and therefore the removed links) and search for the title you want. look for results titled "DMCA (Copyright) Complaint to Google" featuring the media you're looking for. Proceed to Step 3 (above).
personally, i'm a huge fan of r/FREEMEDIAHECKYEAH. they keep their links up to date and they also rank them, basically. they also have all kinds of little pages explaining how to safely pirate shit.
^^^^what they said. I'm surprised people are still reblogging this post now that google's flushed itself down the toilet. so here is your
2026 UPDATE:
just go to r/FreeMediaHeckYeah and r/Piracy. it's easier, more reliable, and will take care of all your piracy needs!
