I JUST GOT A FOLLOW FROM TUMBLR USER @darkcheshire7 BUT I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY SINCE HER BLOG DOESN’T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MINE

Well, that’s probably cause I followed you from one my side accounts and since tumblr doesn't make a difference from accounts under the same email they all get mushed together. And I like compartmentalizing my interests

So, here’s a list of my other accounts so you can find the one that looks more like a blog you’d follow:

1. @imaginesuperheroes this blog is all about DC, Marvel, Doctor Who, Star Wars, tv shows with a 40 minute length per episode and maybe spy movies and similar stuff. I call it the “action blog”. This is the one I use most on normal circumstances 

2. @isdreamingfree is about music. Mainly Paramore, but twenty one pilots, dodie and Halsey also make appearances sometimes. Sometimes, if I’m feeling funky, Taylor Swift also shows up. And not so much now but I had my Queen phase.

3. @9544peralta is about sitcoms and tv shows with a 20 minute length per episode. Mainly Brooklyn Nine Nine, but The Good Place and others also make appearances. In here there’s also tv shows with a 40 minute length per episode that aren’t about “action” and are more about life stuff, like Gilmore Girls 

4. @justpedropascal I think the name is pretty explanatory, but recently I developed an unhealthy obsession on a certain Mandalorian and I thought my “action blog” was getting too crowded with it, so I created this one in which I vent my thoughts about this man

5. Also, I used to have a Dan and Phil blog but that interest has died down a bit (since they aren’t active much anymore) so anything about them goes in here or in the “action blog”

6. Finally this one, darkcheshire7. It was born like the action blog, but then it got weird and I started compartmentalizing so in here there’s random stuff about life and things I find interesting or funny

The stereotype of the nerd girl taking her glasses off and suddenly she's beautiful, but in reverse. A cold tough mean office lady who glares at everyone until she gets glasses and suddenly becomes sweet, approachable and friendly since she no longer has a constant headache over not being able to fucking see, doesn't need to squint at everything, and actually remembers individual people by name now that she can tell them apart at all.

I’ve been thinking on it a bit further and I think that the reason that Nolan’s odyssey has the problems that it does is that it’s afraid to be seen as unserious for even one second.

Like they could’ve and in my opinion should’ve had Zendaya as Athena descend from the heavens in full battle armor but they didn’t. It would’ve been accurate to the original text.

We can’t have anything look rediculous in this movie though I guess. Can’t have a cyclops thinking that a guy is named Nobody. Can’t have a drugged up island of silly lotus eaters that Odysseus has to physically drag his men away from.

Anyways I did mostly enjoy this movie I swear but I wish they’d gotten silly with it even just once.

Tldr Amnesty International, global human rights organisation, published a report called 'A growing threat: the anti-rights movement in the UK'. In it is detailed, amongst others, a whole bunch of transphobic groups and organisations, including Beira's Place, JK Rowling's trans exclusionary sexual violence support service. JK Rowling threw a shit fit and got Amnesty to take the report down by threatening libel. This was obviously not enough, because you can't appease a fascist, so now she's going to bankroll a bunch of lawsuits anyway through the JK Rowling Women's Fund.*

When I lived in London there was a murder of crows that lived near me. I fed them often, they brought me presents (shiny rubbish and cigarette butts they found on the floor to thank me.)

When I moved, I’m certain they understood I was leaving because I had all my stuff and gave them lots of food and compliments.

But, they chased down my friend who lived in the next burrough over. They had recognised that friend with me several times and followed them to their house when they couldn’t find me.

They adopted my friend and it was now my friend’s job to bring them snacks and receive the presents.

This was maybe 6-7 years ago.

I visited London last year. Went to see my friend. The crows all not only recognised me, they tracked me down. We got into my friend’s flat and not twenty minutes later there was chaos on the balcony.

We open the curtains, the entire fucking murder is there shouting because they wanted to see me.

Crows are the very best birds.

Atypical warm hug for your brain - The Bright Sessions Podcast

I have so many thoughts about this little atypical piece of the internet created by @thelaurenshippen that found me over 10 years after its creation.

I feel like a regressed to 20 year old me, desperately trying to find her space in the world. Art student surrounded by queer people and yet feeling so apart from everyone because romantic relationships were so unimportant to me.

Feeling weird, feeling stuck, feeling apart.

Caleb reminded me that big emotions can take up space, and when you find what keeps you ‘green’ you should hold on to it.

Adam reminded me that you don’t need to be special to be special. Everyone is their own little gorgeous tableau and that’s enough.

Sam reminded me that overthinking is a super power, even when it feels like your brain might break sometimes, that’s what makes you you.

Chloé and Joan reminded me that you can find love and family in so many ways and there is not right or wrong way.

Mark reminded me that you can be lost many, many, many times and that’s okay.

Damien reminded me that self worth can make or break you but you are not defined by other people. You carve your path. You choose what to do with your power.

The Bright Sessions reminded me that therapy is more valuable than we think, just talking to someone can make you feel seen.

The AM Archives reminded me that isolation can be deadly and people are here for you.

The College Tapes reminded me that my chosen family is just (if not more) as important as my actual family. Everyone is different and it’s like a gorgeous crazy atypical puzzle that all fits together.

We need more media like this, where connection is at the center but it takes so many shapes and sizes. Where Queer & atypical people find each other, because they always do.

I will miss my friends but I am so grateful I got to meet them.

I kept forgetting my nighttime antidepressant so I set an alarm where the sound was a recording of me saying "HEY. TAKE YOUR FUCKING PILL" because I thought it would be funny. It was funny about three times, and then it started making me mad and I'd dismiss it right away to make it stop. So I handed my phone to my partner, who made another recording sweetly saying "Okay Shira, it's time to take your medication" and now I don't get mad anymore and I take my pill. The "compassion over punishment" camp has gotta get something wrong one of these days
