She/Her Demisexual I am a very ditzy person who just loves making stories. Will I ever follow through? Maybe not. Do I mind? Not really! A blog for stories I have come up with and OCs. 22 Years old, 18+
So! My dad and I just finished season one and let me be the first to tell you, the last two episodes quite literally had my dad on the edge of his seat. Man has not once fallen asleep during the entire thing, which is a massive win because he’s a man who falls asleep watching TV.
He still really likes Nami and Zoro, also is a Sanji fan!
He does think Usopp needs to grow some balls though. He is also still iffy on Koby, but he likes him better than he did at the start. My dad also really likes Garp as well, which I understand.
Luffy has also really grown on my dad, which is amazing since my dad didn’t like Luffy at the start. I think he just needed time to digest and understand who exactly Luffy is as a character.
Ok! Now here is the great spoiler wall for my own feelings about Season One as someone who has watched the anime! So… Spoilers beware!
So. As a whole, I think the Live Action has done a great job respecting the anime and the manga. I think having Oda actually look over stuff was a great move. I love how it doesn’t take itself too seriously and embraces the weirdness (affectionate) of One Piece.
I also love how certain characters and plot points are already getting mentions and cameos. Like the drop of Baroque Works in episode one and the mention of Jinbe to Arlong in episode seven. It’s little things like that, that help to tie this universe together and mirror the canon of One Piece more closely. Cause Zoro was in fact approached by Baroque Works before the beginning of the story and Jinbe and Arlong are very closely tied! It’s little stuff like that, that make me feel so grateful for paying attention. Especially at the very start where we can all actually see the important characters in the crowd watching Roger’s execution.
Not to mention some of the cinematography with Luffy. Especially child Luffy with Shanks. Especially whenever child Luffy is haloed by the sun. It feels like such a cheeky nod to the anime fans while setting up that classic Oda foreshadowing! I feel so rewarded for my knowledge!
Some decisions I do question, however, and no show is perfect. Some of the line deliveries I think could have been done differently. My big one is Zoro’s “Never Be Defeated Again” speech. Specifically the removal of Zoro acknowledging Luffy as King of the Pirates. Perhaps that’s personal preference, but I feel that moment of Zoro’s true acknowledgment of Luffy as his captain. That’s just personal preference though.
I’m so excited to start the next season next Saturday/Sunday with my dad! I have a good feeling that my dad is gonna love Dr. Hiriluk’s speech when we reach it. I’m also excited to see Laboon! I wonder genuinely how my dad will react to what’s coming next. I hope he likes Vivi, Chopper, and Robin!
Good people of Tumblr, the time has once more come where we must pick Tumblr’s sexiest man. I humbly request we at least get Papyrus to the finals, so that we can charge a spell and summon him into Deltarune. It will take all the Undertale fandom combined to make this a possibility and even then, the odds are against us. We have many heavy hitters in 2026, but I know with our powers we can make this happen!
Yuu has been through utter hell and back in terms of messed up situations! Quite literally they experienced a war in the dreamscape with Lilia! They have likely gotten very injured during their attempts to stop Overblot! To say nothing of the other various antics that have occurred in the Limited Events.
Give me a Yuu who is on the verge of a total breakdown. Give me a Yuu who is one bad day away from the single biggest crash out NRC has ever seen. Give me a Yuu who is so afraid and ends up lashing out because of it. Give me a Yuu who eventually gets a responsible adult on their side for help. Give me a Yuu who is struggling to heal.
Cause good lord, I can forgive some of the Overblot boys, as well as the other students, but I can’t forgive all of them. To say nothing of the general student population and their general disregard of Yuu. I think the one person who is truly safe from Yuu’s eventual meltdown would, ironically, be Grim. Yes, he causes a lot of trouble himself, but he has also never truly gone out of his way to be outright malicious to Yuu. He was focused on himself when he first entered NRC and he ended up with Yuu by circumstance. However, ever since he has been with Yuu, trouble as he may be, he has never, knowingly, hurt Yuu. His Overblot episode in Idia’s story is clearly shown as Grim not in his right mind, after all…
Now that I think about it more, I suppose I could put a few people who were not outright malicious to Yuu on that “safe” list as well. Still, Grim is outright baby, so I think he alone gets the pass. Regardless… Yeah. Give me a Yuu who is sick of cleaning up everyone else’s mess. Give me a Yuu who needs help.
So, I am watching through ‘Welcome To Demon School, Iruma-Kun!’ And because of that I am in the range of manga spoilers as well. Recent events in the manga have gotten me thinking and theorizing, however, so let me know if I’m off base.
SPOILER SHIELD!!!
So, in recent chapters it’s been shown just how enticing the scent of human blood is for demons and how quickly it appeals to the demonic nature of demons and sends them “Back to Basics”, so to speak.
So I have thought all the way back to season one with the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley and their child, and how Iruma healed the kid with his blood, right? But somehow, they weren’t affected by its scent. It could be that they are magical beasts, so the rule doesn’t necessarily apply, but then simply covering a wound with a bandage like Iruma did afterwards isn’t likely to keep his scent entirely hidden, especially since he was in close proximity to Sabnock afterwards.
I genuinely wonder if this is an early hint towards Iruma’s true nature or if I’m just losing my mind. Still, food for thought.
Corn dogs are named for their traditional meat, the unicorn. As unicorns are now extinct, they can only be referred to properly as ‘Corn Dogs and not “Unicorn Dogs” as they were prior to 2009.
This is actually a common misconception! While the Unicorn Dog did exist and was discontinued following the extinction of unicorns in 2009, the Corn Dog is not a rebranding of the Unicorn Dog! The Corn Dog was created in 2003 by James H. Corn, though it remained a relatively unpopular Ohio treat until 2010 when Mr. Corn took the opportunity left by the Unicorn Dog’s exit from the market to take over the niche.
I’ve never been one to write fan fiction. Not good fan fiction anyways, not fan fiction that anyone will ever see. Recently, however, I’ve wanted to start writing again and I find myself wanting to write for One Piece. Trouble is, I’m not certain what I wanna write in regards to One Piece.
Like- The impulse is there to make an OC in there, but at the same time I feel like any OC I make just… Wouldn’t fit in? And I love the One Piece characters as they all are right now, the dynamics are always fun. They just all work. And I sit here and I’m like ‘I’ve got nothing’, because I can imagine all I like but nothing feels particularly good? I don’t know, it’s a weird itch and I know that if the fanfic isn’t out there, then I have every opportunity to make it myself.
Still… I’m nervous I wouldn’t even get the characters right. Like, I like to think I understand, but reality is I know I could be very wrong. And I realize that is part of the process, but I also know how the internet is. I don’t know. Maybe I’ll write something short for both, see if it’s something I can work through. I know a while ago I mentioned writing something for Shanks and Buggy, maybe I’ll start with that.
