Small dumb thing rewatching the episode but I like how they're still lacking knowledge they'd learn from finishing school, if that makes sense
They noticed "alright, something's wrong with Ruby", put her in an almost complete recovery position, had big sis on standby just in case. Didn't want to crowd her so the others are sitting away but they're also discussing what to do and Blake starts to take charge. Ruby wakes up, they ask about her but don't push when she dodges.
Like yes! These are teenagers who didn't finish school but know a bit to help and are trying to adapt to a really fucked up situation the best they can! They're bad at it but it's better than nothing!

About a week ago I posted this.
I’ve been getting horrible messages like this in my ask for months, including:

After getting the message saying “Just go kill yourself” I was completely done dealing with this person’s horrible messages and replied with just an “Okay.” and logged off tumblr.
About a week later I logged back on with 17 messages in my ask, most of them from the anon. I scrolled down and at first when I logged off, the anon messaged me things like
I scrolled up more and all of a sudden they started sending me more and more messages like
This was extremely surprising to me. I thought “After all those horrible messages you sent to me for MONTHS about hating me and wanting me dead, you say ‘sorry’ and that you ‘cant be responsible for someone’s suicide’?”
But I guess the lesson goes like this:
DONT TELL ANYONE TO KILL THEMSELVES UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED FOR WHAT MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN

I didn’t answer it because a message like that doesn’t deserve an answer but I don’t see what is so funny about telling someone to kill them selves! I really don’t! It’s sick and it’s wrong. Suicide is not joke, you can’t go back from telling someone they should die. And you can’t undo the possible death you could have influenced. Please use kindness instead of this pointless hate. It makes a difference. even a small ‘how was your day?’ helps tremendously.
I’ve actually seen blogs deactivate only to find out people DID kill themselves for this shit. I’ve almost killed myself because of this shit. If I didn’t have the one person IRL that I do to talk to, I wouldn’t be here. Just, don’t do this. It’s not a joke.
Blake's ears flickered when she heard her three month old start to fuss, she turned to see her daughter begin to soft cry against Yang's back. Blake smiled when Yang turned a bit, kissing Luna's face then turning back to sleep.
However Luna didn't stop and started to cry, Blake was about to pick her up but Yang started to turn.
"Yang.. I'll get her.."
The blonde ignored her, carefully turning since Luna almost rolled, Yang managed to hold her. Luna's head was now propped up by Yang's right bicep. Blake's heart skipped a beat as Yang left arm was now around Luna, hugging her, the blonde going back to sleep right after. Blake's eyes went over Luna to see their daughter falling asleep.
Blake grabbed her scroll, taking a picture of the loves of her life. She chuckled a bit as she noticed Yang's left eye open after the flash of the scroll roused her from sleeping.
"Don't get mad.. you don't realise how cute you two are.."
Blake softly spoke, Yang only poked her side. Blake smiled, leaning over to kiss Luna and to kiss Yang, who turned to have it land on her lips.
"Night..love you..."
Yang said, barely awake.
"I love you too.."
Blake smiled again as she set her book on the nightstand, laying down, her right hand resting on Yang's side after getting comfortable. Her eyes slowly closed after looking over Luna and Yang one last time, falling asleep peacefully to their breathing.

Okay, this never happens. I just sat down for a solid 3 and a half hours and wrote a fic from start to end in a draft format that closely resembles mid-draft as opposed to first draft. My concentration never wavered.

It’s like millennials do not understand that middle east has been at war for 1000′s of years. That we intervened on behalf of Kuwait. That without “bombing” people that want to kill and oppress others, millions will be murdered and tortured.

here’s Afghanistan in the 1950′s, 60′s, & 70′s
if you really want to know what caused all the instability & growth of extremist groups I suggest you take a look at the US foreign policy towards Afghanistan during the 80′s
It’s interesting to note that when the communist government came to power in Afghanistan in the late 70′s, one of the first things they did was declare equality of the sexes, made education for girls mandatory, & banned child marriages. The conservative tribal leaders who the US armed & funded (& who later became the Taliban) declared this to be a “war on Islam” & fought against the central government.
The US had no problem back then with encouraging the growth of Islamic conservatism to counter socialism/communism. You created your biggest enemy & you have no one to blame but yourselves.
