Here’s some positivity for systems struggling with imposter syndrome!
Imposter syndrome or fear of faking are both incredibly common in systems. However, we feel that if anyone feels like they’re more than one, then they’re welcome to call themselves plural and will always be a part of our community! Still, we understand that a fear of faking can be difficult to shake or cope with, so this post is for all the systems out there dealing with imposter syndrome!
☘️ Shoutout to systems who feel like they’re faking due to their unique experiences with plurality!
🌷 Shoutout to mediple systems who feel fake due to their “in between” plural experiences!
🌿 Shoutout to monoconscious systems and those who primarily blend or cofront, who feel fake due to how their system functions!
🦋 Shoutout to systems who are learning to validate themselves and rely less on external validation for faith in their system!
☘️ Shoutout to questioning systems who are struggling to determine whether or not their system is real!
🌷 Shoutout to systems with difficulties communicating internally, who fear they’re faking because they can’t often hear their headmates!
🌿 Shoutout to systems who go through waves of denial and acceptance, or who waffle between feeling like they’re faking and embracing their plurality!
🦋 Shoutout to systems who are struggling with imposter syndrome after being fakeclaimed by someone they know!
☘️ Shoutout to individual headmates who deal with imposter syndrome more than the rest of their system!
🌷 Shoutout to undiagnosed systems whose imposter syndrome surrounds their trauma or dissociative disorder!
🌿 Shoutout to endogenic systems who have imposter syndrome due to the nature of their plurality!
Plurality is not something that is widely understood or accepted in society; it makes sense that many systems may question their validity or fear that they’re faking as a result of this! However, just because something isn’t understood by society doesn’t mean that it can’t exist. Multiplicity is very real, and the diversity of plural experience should be uplifted and celebrated!
If you are a member of a system struggling with imposter syndrome, we want to remind you that not only is it normal for a system to worry if they’re faking from time to time, fear of faking is usually an indication that you’re not faking at all! Know that you will always be welcome in the plural community just the way you are. You don’t have to prove yourself plural enough to anyone in order to be recognized and treated as a system! We genuinely hope your imposter syndrome will dissipate and disappear entirely over time. Until then, please treat yourself and your system with kindness and patience, and have a great day!
