Hello you need to see this drag performer talking about quantum physics, queer existence, and non-binary identities.
[Video Description: A drag queen — who is credited as Amrou Al-Kadhi / Glamrou, a drag performer, writer, and filmmaker — stands in front of a microphone and explains,
“Quantum physics is this incredible sect of of physics, which basically…
With like, Newtonian physics — I think of it as heteronormative physics — where its basically ‘What are the fixed universal principles that govern the world? If I do A, will B happen? What are the formulas that’ll tell us anywhere in the universe, “What will happen if I input this?”’
Quantum physics is equally a “real” sect of physics that basically looks at subatomic particles — so the very smallest things in our universe, not the macro things — and they contradict basically everything that Newtonian physics shows us. So, the most famous experiment is the Double Slit Experiment, where you fire an electron and it should go through the left or right hole. And then every now and then, it goes through both at the same time. And we don’t really know why. And sometimes, the same subatomic particle is in different locations at the same times.
And quantum physics shows that actually reality itself is basically a majority approximation of what’s happening sub-atomically. So when people spew the biological essentialism argument on me. Like, particles themselves are non-binary, and do things that contradict each other all the time, we just can’t see them all the time. And that gives me a lot of comfort, that if subatomic particles defy constructs all the time, why should we believe in fixed constructs of gender, or any kind of reality?” END DESCRIPTION]
“Newtonian physics is heteronormative” is not the take I expected to see on my dash today, but it is 100% inspirational.

Ppl without ADHD be like “oh if I get rid of all possible distractions then you’ll be forced to focus on the boring task!” Fool… You underestimate my Power
My partner: dear it’s time to get up
Me: but distractions
Partner: I have removed them
Me: sleeps
Person: we have removed all possible distractions
Me: but have you considered this?
Me: *zones out and daydreams*
Person: I have removed all distractions so you can do [insert task]
Me: *chuckles* Silly neurotypical. So naïve… Don’t you see? I AM the distraction.
The distraction is coming from inside the house
i miss being able to take the battery of my phone out and just hold it
is it too much to ask? to be able to hold my phone’s heart in my hand again?

every time i see this post i think abt the time when i listened to a bunch of muslim and jewish students spent their entire 10 minute break arguing abt whether god actually cares you eat gummy bears (made with gelatin derived from pork) or not, standing by the vending machine and eating gummy bears the whole time
what a power move
This was the funniest hour of my life
At the end of the panel we gave them a round of applause for being so brave in trying to write straights and cisgenders
Especially Jasika, who got very emotional about her childhood with straight parents
types of comments on this post:
-straight people saying :/ love is love :/ gay or straight why does it matter ://///
-gay people saying wait no really i’ve never written a non-lesbian pls help
-people pointing out that even straight people don’t know how to write straight people without unnecessary romance
the truly impressive part of this panel was how for an hour, a FULL hour, they talked about writing straight characters like the st8s talk about writing queer characters and they did. not. break. It was the most amazing piece of improv comedy i’ve ever seen.
Finally some relatable fucking content.

It's never been my aspiration to have my films screened at festivals, but rather for them to be a tool to further movements. So when I see things like this, I'm freaking happy, like something is working. And screened right next to one of my favorite films to boot! So a friendly reminder that INVASION is free to download and free to screen. get it at Unistoten.camp/INVASION

Can’t talk rn dude, yearning.
Met this guy today. His right horn is covered in tiny white mushrooms.
I was tipped off to the location of this amazing ram’s skull via local mycology group and had to go out and find it to see it for myself and take photos. It’s up in Snowdonia National Park near Machynlleth, Wales, UK, where I live and really did take some getting to, but it was worth it as you can see!
The mushroom variety on the horn is ‘horn stalkball’ or Onygena Equina, which ONLY grows on decaying horns and hooves, as it requires keratin to grow. According to the National Biodiversity Atlas, there have been only 85 recorded sightings in the UK.
These images seem to have resonated with many people and understandably so as this is a powerfully symbolic find; full of the beauty and poetry of the dance between life and death.
All photos are by me except the mushroom close-ups which I have permission to share but the photographer has chosen not to be credited. If you share any of these photos please credit my Instagram @pennytristram and please contact me before using them for any commercial project.
Photo prints available here.

Sex Education: Season 2, Episode 7
my favorite thing that’s ever come out of those dumb “gender reveal” parties, you know the ones, is that people make cakes and other baked goods for them right?
and since everything in this hellscape has to be gendered including colors, they gotta use both pink and blue frosting when they decorate to keep the prospective parents guessing before they cut the cake open and reveal how they’re gonna color-code their babies, but that also means:
people are out here making blue and white and pink baby cakes and just, unintentionally throwing the trans flag all over their pointless “gender” celebration and i think that’s just superb
someone make me this cake when i get top surgery to celebrate
What if the trans community…stole gender reveal parties?
