I miss long running long form content.

I miss when shows would reference current events or random topics that would become part of the popular consciousness and vice versa.

I'm watching ghost whisperer which came out in the early-mid 2000s and they had a ghost in the house of a Y2K prepper, there were references to spotting the signs of bulimia/anorexia, internet safety, and even an introduction to Internet virtual spaces as we know them!

It makes me nostalgic for the time when most of us shared a reality.

And the music. I didn't need to hear "man who can't be moved" that many times but all the music before that was really good.
