Oops I dropped my updated drive of DnD resources that I'd NEVER put the 2024 Player's Handbook on, or any other materials.
That would be so reckless of me. Who would leave 100+ DnD materials just laying around?

I'm gonna say it, I think there's a lot of people who spend a lot of time talking about what DMs can do to make playing/the table better, and not enough time encouraging players to also take responsibility for the table/game experience

Ring of Bone (by dndinedelterre)
Rare, Magic
This ring was once worn by a high ranking necromancer. It is a silver band with three teeth wired to the top. Once per dusk, you can summon 1d4+1 skeletons, each with 5 hit points. These skeletons are under your control and go at the end of your turn. They remain until unsummoned or killed.

This ring was worn by a high ranking necromancer in the southern part of the continent. He served the god of deception and ruled a reign of terror before he was killed and placed in a secure tomb.

Rare, Magic Requires Attunement
This is a small golden ring with an icon of the sun etched onto its top. Once attuned, the wearer can summon a single use +1 rapier 3 times per dawn. Each time it hits, you can add an extra 1d6 fire damage. These three charges replenish each dawn.

This ring originates from the Nation of the Sun, Hiba. Only high priests seem to have them on hand.
The Wings of Thyme
A city called Thyme in the nation of Madelonia put itself on the map through its engineers' main craft: wings! Also called elytra, these wings are worn on the backs of their users. Elytra wings can be found other places, but are often most detailed and personalized when built in Thyme.
Interested parties may seek to purchase such wings, however, building them takes about a week for a skilled engineer. Engineers insist on meeting with each interested person with and without their party. Engineers take pride in putting personal details into their creations, and matching them to each personality.
Go to Thyme, Madelonia, and purchase your wings today!
Patreon Post
A friend recently suggested that I make a map of an “airport,” which got me thinking about what something like that might look like in Dungeons and Dragons. Inspired partially by a terrific Paraglider mod for Skyrim and the home base of the aspiring aeronaut, I made this map. The small cliffside gazebo is littered with supplies and a few prototypes of aerial technology.
Alas, one of those prototypes didn’t work out quite as successfully as he might have hoped, but his base of operations, and the flying contraptions laying there unclaimed, are ready and waiting for any adventurers eager to try their luck.

@spawnofwitches shared this image a while ago with me and I was now inspired to give it a stat block. To show you all how to easily make up a homebrew monster, I decided to give it the stats of a brown bear, since its body form reminded me of one and I thought, the stats would make sense. I added fire weakness and poison resistance to make it more plant like, and replaced keen smell by thorns. Also I gave it poison damage and the skill lure scent which was inspired by the similiar Pokémon attack (not sure if the name in english is lure scent, it is Lockduft in german). It would now only have to be tested, since CR is still a mystery to me, and also I do not care about it 😅
Let me know if this was helpful and have fun creating homebrew stuff 😁
Good doggo
⚔️ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Wyrmshide Bow Weapon (shortbow), rare (requires attunement) ___
This bow is crafted with delicate dragon scales and strung with a fiber from a dragon’s heart. While holding the bow, you can use a bonus action to speak its command word and channel the energy of the dragon within. When you do, the bow forms a draconic cowl of elemental energy around you. For the duration of the cowl, you gain the following benefits:
• You gain 25 temporary hit points, which last for 1 minute. • You have resistance to damage of the same type as the elemental energy of the cowl. The type of energy is determined by the kind of dragon that provided the bow’s scales, as shown on the table below. • On a hit, the bow deals an extra 1d8 damage of the same type as the cowl’s energy. If the target is a dragon, this extra damage ignores any resistance or immunity it has against that damage type.
The cowl remains until you lose all these temporary points. Once this property has been used, it can’t be used again until the next dawn or until the bow is used to slay or help slay a Large or larger dragon. For the purpose of this weapon, “dragon” refers to any creature with the dragon type, including dragon turtles and wyverns.

💎 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Monarch Mantle Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement) ___
While wearing this silky, scalloped cloak, you can use a bonus action to gain a flying speed of 30 feet until the end of your turn. The cloak flaps behind you like butterfly wings while flying in this way.
In addition, the cloak has 3 charges and regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. When a creature that you can see hits you with an attack while you’re wearing this cloak, you can use your reaction to expend 1 of its charges to take half as much damage from the attack and teleport up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see. When you do, you reappear in a flourish of butterflies that remain in that space until the end of the current turn, imposing disadvantage on any attack roll against you while you remain in that space for the duration. ___

Obviously evil character, clearly lying about a suspicious activity: No, we don’t know anything about that.
Himbo fighter, entirely sincere: Welp, that’s wonderful to hear! We’ll just be on our way now. Have a nice day!
Warlock: I like my coffee like I like my nights: dark, endless, impossible to sleep through.
I had a talk with my DM about the NPCs we create.
I always love his, but I often find myself creating Satan spawn.
sometimes when my players are going through a rough time either in real life or through their characters, and they pray to a god, I'll let them talk to that god -- even if the god has nothing much to say. I kind of use it as like, a therapy session for the character, so they can get all of their anxieties out. Last session, a god actually taught a character (and I taught the player) grounding techniques to use during an anxiety attack. I just thought that was cool, and definitely something to ponder.
