okay that was not my last straw but i have maybe 3 to 4 straws left at most so watch out.
This one’s for the tumblrinas
eight days in a row is too much
the use of both "modern" and "timeless" to describe this act is truly something to behold
here's where to find it on windows 10
Ugh, it was in mine. It's off now.
IT GETS WORSE
I had to turn this off, but it's something that allows Windows and anyone using your device to generate text/images.
LOBOTOMIZE YOUR MACHINES
oh so some people can just listen to a song and understand the lyrics
what if you’re all lying
not even an exaggeration
I think part of getting better is complete ego death. Like you’re not above setting a timer for 5 minutes and focusing on a task. You’re not above doing a very simple 3 minute workout to start. You’re not above reading for 10 minutes a day when you first get out of your reading slump, even if you used to read for hours. You’re not above starting slow and then building up to where you want to be/where you once were. What you are above is total inertia. Doing something really is better than doing nothing. Radically accept where you are, radically accept your limits, and go from there. Don’t let your ego get in the way.
I think I followed an ai cookie recipe 😭 halfway through I realized it didn’t make much sense, but I was already deep into it so I just kept doing. They’re in the oven now and I think they’re not gonna be good 😞 it included vanilla extract in the ingredient list but then never said when to integrate it. That was my first clue that it was off. Then I looked at how much flour it called for and brothers it is not a lot, and that’s the problem. They’re so runny. It’s like brownie batter instead. I added some more flour to the remaining batter that didn’t fit on the first pan after I saw that they are running like crazy
They don’t even taste good!
I’m mad because I wanted to make cookies using Mexican hot chocolate mix. I’ve done it before, but I couldn’t find the recipe I used before. So I found this ai garbage instead and I’ll never find that recipe again and I’m mad. I’m going to try a different one but I know that it’s not the one I used before. I can’t find it >:(
ohhh noooo I’m so sorry 😭sadly this could happen to anyone
@sweetoothgirl is my favorite recipe source here, on desktop you can go through her pinned posts by type (cookies, cakes, muffins, etc)
Here are some of my favorite baking blogs:
Sally’s Baking Addiction
Butternut Bakery (has a plethora of gluten free and vegan also)
Cooking Classy
Handle The Heat
I think you’d enjoy these chocolate cookies and they’re easy and a crowd favorite that I’ve made :) maybe you could add some cinnamon?
I use Just The Recipe to skip the clutter and ads!
This is really sweet, thank you so much :’)
the dancing scene in Tangled always gets to me because like... the king and queen are grieving, this is the hardest day for them, they don't take part in the celebration other than lighting the first lantern. but she's right there she's in the town the person you miss she's in the town she's painting the streets she's singing she's playing with the children. the person you're grieving is here and she's alive and she's dancing outside your window
@cass-the-knight your tags are too good
In 21st century America, there was a pervasive superstition that rats could force people to do their bidding simply by grabbing ahold of their hair. It was often common courtesy to remove your hat, either as a greeting or when entering another's homes, to show them that you are not being possessed by a rat, and can be trusted to behave.
You know, what I think bothers me the most about media depictions of Christianity is how everyone thinks good actions are what get you into Heaven. From modern Simpsons episodes to Hazbin Hotel, there's this weird de-Jesusifying of Christianity where you just have to be a good person who didn't do anything bad.
In reality, you don't "earn" your way to Heaven by doing good things. Ephesians 2:8-9 is pretty clear about it; "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."
There's a lot of minutae about how having faith and genuinely following Christ will change your behavior and faith without works is dead, yadda yadda, but you literally cannot go to Heaven EXCEPT through belief in Jesus. It's just weird when things talking about Christianity specifically get that very basic thing wrong.
Also, I just want to add onto this: some people think they aren't "worthy" enough to come to church.
Someone in my life once jokingly said that they'd never go to church because they'd burst into flames the moment they walked through the door.
Church is full of sinners. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Romans 3:23. Church is not supposed to the gathering of those "worthy" enough to worship God. Christianity is for everyone, no matter who you are or what sins you've done because all of us are the same before God until we accept Jesus' sacrifice and ask repentance.
But this is also a good reminder for us Christians to reflect Jesus to the people in our lives so they understand that He is there for everyone not just people who do enough good deeds.
"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:28
We are all one before Christ and the whole point is that none of us are worthy to enter His presence without Jesus.
reblog this and put in the tags at least two (2) songs you are listening to on repeat right now
I love capturing that roadtrip feeling on film from the sunny backseats of my friends cars
it doesn’t have to be good it just has to be done
The phrase "They don't want it perfect, they want it Friday" does wonders for my productivity.
I tell this story all the time but I'll tell it again! When I taught kindergarten full time, we had a working bee one weekend where we did a bunch of gardening/landscaping in the outdoor area. One of the dads put up a bit of fencing, then stood back and had a look, kind of frowning like he wasn't sure. His wife then came along, and the following conversation ensued:
Wife: GETMO? Husband: (after a moment, with a sigh) Yeah, GETMO. Me: GETMO? Wife and husband, in perfect unison: Good Enough To Move On
Absolutely LIFE CHANGING acronym, friends and enemies.
i forgot what the post was gonna be……. i made these n then my brain stopped after that step
