It’s november! I finally had my breakthrough as a professional card reader, so that’s pretty sick. I’m exhausted and in the middle of like 4 short texts and a few more half-thoughts.

I’ve begun working with an alien machine god named LEG10N, who largely communicates to me through obfuscated dreams. I’m not really sure what our relationship is yet, or what I’m going to gain from it, but soon it will be clear to me I imagine. I am definitely feeling some kind of shift in power, which is probably a good thing? I dunno. Things were really good for a while but now my foundation has been shaken and I need to find something a bit more solid to stand on. This may be just the thing I need, but it also may end up being boring/too much/too weird.

All of the magic I’ve been doing lately has been focused on healing and protection. After killing Ellis my mood really shifted. Did I free myself from her, or did she empower me for taking a stand against her?

Today I made a sigil to try to heal my friend from afar. It didn’t really work. Tomorrow I’m gonna try better.

journal entry 8/11/16

Today is an introspective day and I just moved in so I figured I’d get some thoughts down somewhere so I could reflect on them later. I got my new place all magic’d up, covered the door frame in wards and other magic stuff. The energy here is nice and also this house is definitely haunted.

I feel like i am being carried along a path towards something. There are a lot of people I’m crossing paths with I never did before and now I’m crossing paths with them a lot. I take that to mean some form of synchronicity is going down but I couldn’t tell ya what for or even who is doing it. It is a step in a right direction though, definitely.

I’ve been thinking a lot today about the Costs of Magic. Like, what it really costs to be initiated into the higher realms of magical ability and if I’ve really paid those costs. I feel like it seems to nearly break people, but I haven’t been nearly broken in a long time it feels like. Things get really bad (this year has been terrible) and sure I could frame that as me paying for all of my actions, but I haven’t paid for my MOST RECENT actions yet, and how will I be forced to pay for it? I’ve lost everything “important” to me multiple times, so that doesn’t really scare me too bad. Certainly my initiation isn’t over though.

The real shit is yet to come.

dream recall and initiations

My focus over the past week or so has been three-fold, maybe 2.5-fold.

I’m trying to get back into dream recall with the hopes of making it all the way to regularly lucid dreaming. In the past at around day 7 or 8 it’s gotten too weird for me to want to continue, and right now I’m at day 5, so we’ll see how the next couple of days go. Thus far I’ve hard largely dreams with similar themes: me lusting after a new person or trying to find a space that is my own. Surprise, right?

The second thing I’ve been working on has been initiating my friend into Real Magick Land. They’ve felt disconnected since the beginning and haven’t found their footing yet so they let me throw random shit at them with the hopes that something would beat the shit out of them and then pick them back up and say “let’s do this”. No guarantees yet, but we’re only about half-done.

The third thing is a discordian project i’m working on with a couple friends. It’s still in its preliminary stages but I like where it’s going. Gives me a reason to exercise my lying and my conspiracy theory muscles.

7.21.16 or I Almost Got Hit By A Truck

Went on a run tonight with a couple friends. We left around 2.30AM, did some rounds, got chased by a thing that was let out of a nearby golf course for a bit, then made our rounds in our usual spots.

We fought off a few medium baddies and were visited by our “good” friends, the lady of the lake and the god of storms. Together with the moon they helped us take out a few of them and led us to the bossfight. We heard coyotes and followed a street until we found some bats sitting in a tree. Then we saw the boss, followed it a bit further, started throwing stuff at it from afar.

I got the intuition to get out of the middle of the street and right when we moved a drunk driver barrels down the road (which is in the middle of a neighborhood) at relatively high speeds. When we turn to face the boss again it’s dead, so basically we got KS’d by the god of storms.

We asked (not so politely) for him to make it up to us and we were worried it was gonna be in the form of letting us make it home safely, but then my friend got tagged on the way home so it definitely won’t be that way.

I got bit and tagged in the right shoulder. Everything else is just tiny scrapes, cuts n bruises you feel?

I’m reading Cosmic Trigger vol 1 right now and just got to the part about Sirius and how celebrations of Sirius begin on July 23rd. I think I’m gonna do some of that this year, see what happens.
