I had someone ask me "where are the pokemon cards" and I tried to direct her to the kids section and she got really indignat and went "no. Pokemon cards. Theyre like, collectibles" and I had to go No I know what those are. Those are kids playing cards. Kids section

She was trying to look behind the counter where we keep Gold Jewelry and Gucci Purses for pokemon cards

SOME stores *DO* have special placements of those types of cards.

I've been collecting the One Piece trading cards and I would hit multiple stores trying to find them when a new set came out and for a while, no matter what I did, i couldn't find them. Logic didn't seem to apply. I *did* assume games/kids section in regular retail stores. That didn't help me.

I'd look in Target because sources said they had them - and i Bee-lined for the games section because that made SENSE to me - and couldn't find them. I'd get my hopes up because there were SOME Pokemon cards there and i figured hey, trading cards are trading cards right? But then I found out by accident that there was a WALL of different trading cards NEXT to the banks of registers in that particular store. (not that i EVER saw One Piece cards there)

Sometimes the bookstore would have them - behind the counter/register. but the bookstore didn't keep ALL of their trading cards there. I could find some pokemon and some other cards (Magic i think) in the manga section.

If i go to Newbury, well, i'm never sure where they will be. They USED to have a dedicated corner right by the door, for ALL their different trading cards but last time i was there they'd moved them.

and at FYE all their trading cards were, again, behind the counter.

I think I intended this to be Scariff’s beach, but yeah, I suppose this is now whatever planet with beaches and agressively touchy-feely gigantic locals
