After Zeus took down Kronos:
Underworld Clock
We all assume that in the Underworld there must be no way to guess what hour it is, right? Not naturally. No sun or shyt.
So my hc is… they use Sisyphus and his rock to guess. Here’s a visual representation, since I am too lazy to explain.
So, if Sisyphus is on the west side, in the fifth line, they’d say it’s 5 PM.
Currently typing this in the Fourth of July while nearby neighbours were blasting the absolute fuck of fireworks here a video as proof
A classical education is so rewarding.
In your opinion which greek hero would be sub and which dom
Ah, you guys are impossible sometimes!
Heracles (The Power Dom): mostly dom, though there are (rare) instances where he would become a sub for his woman (AKA the myth of Omphale);
Achilles (The Passionate Dom): Look, I KNOW that he's generally accepted as a sub when it comes to his relationship with Patroclus, but when it comes to the women from his life though it's okay if you're not thinking about that since most of them were effectively his sex slaves whom he raped after murdering their families, hence why Medea is the only safe option for me he's overall a dom;
Hector (The Trojan Sub): Andromache might've been too tall to ride him but that doesn't mean she gave up on him;
Menelaus (The Ginger Dom): He really missed Helen after those 10 years...
Odysseus (The Cunning Dom): Penelope can confirm once he finally came back home after those 20 years of waiting;
Theseus (The Controlling Dom): Look, if there's one aspect regarding Theseus' personal life you have all the right to hate him for then that is definitely his romantic relationships, which usually vary from abandonment (Ariadne, Hippolyta) to straight-up *ahem* (Helen of Sparta);
Orpheus (The Vulnerables Sub): Aside from Ovid's account where he turns out to be a misogynistic pedophile he's mostly a sad sub;
Perseus (The Dutiful Sub): He lets Andromeda chain him up every night. Not gonna elaborate nor apologize;
Jason (The Led Sub): Look, I know this seems less plausible but hear me out: back in the early years of their marriage he used to be a huge sub for Medea, before their relationship turned out to be a toxic and dysfunctional one;
Bellerophon (The SUBverted One): Okay, this one is a little messed up so I'm not gonna elaborate on this one;
Cadmus (The Little Sub): Remember that scene from Ponyo where the Sea Goddess holds Fujimoto and her hand and starts rubbing him with thumb and he instantly folds in her embrace? That's literally him and Harmonia;
Menelaus if Paris, Helenus and Deiphobus ever try to 1v3 him
Perseus and Andromeda I've been unhealthy obsessed with Perseus and Andromeda lately so here's a doodle I did of them on a lazy morning. I don't have a realistic style. Andromeda on the left Perseus on the right.
Andromeda I like better than my Perseus design I'll probably fix it a bit when I get better at drawing .
I got bored so hey some voice claims for some characters of my Perseus AU
Hades: Frank Voss
Medusa: Jessica Law
Merlin/Pronoea Ophthalmitis (He gonna be little bit important for Andromeda subplot): Jonny Sims
Hermes: Chris Sullivan
The most random ass benefits of being a part of a Mexican family is having to be called a random insult by your family members for saying hello to them.
Later they act like nothing happened.
“Cause here’s the thing. To know how it ends, and still to begin to sing it again. As if it might turn out this time. I learned that from a friend of mine.”
Hadestown and Orpheus and Eurydice over the years. Broadway, NYTW, album, and myth.
Haven’t drawn these two for a while

What's your opinion on the adaptation of the relationship between Hades and Persephone in Lore Elysium? It's an adaptation of Lore Olympus, but in my view it aims to be more faithful to the hymn.
That's cool, but I view it still as fan fiction based on Lore Olympus rather than a standalone adaptation of mythology. I'm actually a bit surprised by the appeal Lore Olympus still holds among its haters. That thing is beyond redemption. It's essentially a miniature of the romantic novels about Persephone and Hades from the past few decades.
Also, I personally hate for LO's aesthetic, especially how its viral spread turned Persephone pink for a while. And that part hasn't been "fixed". As for the story, it's just getting started. I haven't seen the plot develop regarding Persephone and Hades' relationship yet, not sure what to say.
Adapting the abduction of Persephone from the Homeric Hymns is a great idea, but I think what we always need is more creativity, not just fidelity to the original text. We're fortunate to have so many sources on the abduction myth, and each one is different.
Just saw this cover of Perseus and Andromeda as a (french) children's book LOOK AT THEM THEY'RE SO CUUUUTE. AND FINALLY, A BLACK ANDROMEDA. Low-key want to buy it to see the illustrations inside.
The only flaw is that the summary saying the Nereids are Poseidon's daughters, which... is an odd choice. Like I don't see why they took that decision but whatever (I don't think 3 to 6 y.o could make the parallel between the daughter of the offender to be sacrificed, and the "daughters" of the king of the sea being the ones asking for punishment. ...Damn it, now I found a way to make it interesting)
There's also something about the artstyle that I find really lovely. I did have books with a similar artstyle as a kid. Something about how kind the faces look, maybe...
