“...even the Dread Wolf.”
I did not forget this blog existed. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.
okay, say what you want about solas….but dude got you a castle. that automatically grants him the title of your inquisitor’s sugar daddy.
I just needed this particular shot of High Disapproval Solas in my solas tag
Discord did a thing again, and I delivered <3

REBLOG THIS IF YOUR MUSE IS AN ANTAGONIST / VILLAIN
We need more diverse dynamics in the rpc. Heroes and protagonists are great! But what is a good story without a good antagonist?
a tense frown , an unfocused glance to the ground . taeros knows it all too well ; the fear in the back of his mind that he’s just another prized possession to be had in tevinter , the vallaslin just offering more prestige for someone who is striving for more power in the magisterium . and even if nick was often kind to him …
he’s proven enough times that he’s willing to leave taeros for dead . if it came between him and his reputation , he would . ( and yet … )
“ i know that . ” a stern tone . he bites his lip almost immediately after . “ sorry , that was … harsh of me . i just – maybe i just don’t know how to approach it . if i tell nick , he might just lie to my face and write it off . if i don’t … ”
there was no easy way to approach this . to have to deny one’s feelings to speak the truth . to realize what was wrong and speak it . he was in the same position once . he became feared , but that was not tae’s fate . maybe one day he’d reveal the truth the other - just not now . not anytime soon .
far more important matters had to take place first . such as protecting tae and trying to clean up the mess with the anchor .
“ if you don’t , at any moment when he pleases he’ll put you in chains . perhaps he’s trying to get you used to them already . to where when he finally moves to put them on you’ll accept them willingly . without question . then he’ll drag you back to his homeland as a trophy is his time here .”
“ of course , ” he says, pausing, “ i could be wrong , but if i’m not , ” solas trails off for a few moments , “ i’ll do whatever i can to ensure you get out of skyhold . ” even if it meant personally challenging the inquisitor himself , but hopefully ... it wouldn’t have come to that point .
Foolish love

They call me The Dread Wolf.
What will they call you when this is over?
taeros hums , gaze focused on the ground as he listens patiently to solas’s advice . it would be the wiser option to use publicity to his advantage . and though they were low on numbers when it came to templars , there were a few who joined the inquisition to work alongside the mages he’d allied with in redcliffe , most even understanding of the inquisitor’s wariness . it would work .
but a part of him says this would be an utter disregard of trust . he liked to think that despite the obvious risk of discussing this in a more private setting , nick might feel more compelled to explain his side of the story without the lingering presence of templars . taeros would . it was just a matter of finding the right way to approach it , even with solas’s presence .
“ he might think i mean harm one way or another if i involve templars . ” taeros idly taps a rhythm with his left thumb on right palm , staring into space as he shifts his weight from one leg to another , brows furrowed . “ templars in tevinter apparently have no magic suppressive capabilities , unlike the ones here in the south . so while it would keep anyone out of harm’s way , it might seem like i can’t even trust nick to tell me a simple matter . he might try crying foul . and he would know publicity isn’t often my method … ”
“ i’m capable of defending myself , but if i’m going to approach this in a more private setting , i’d like you to be there for it . as a witness , if nothing else . ” the inquisitor refocuses his gaze on the other , a curt nod as a response . “ if nick does happen to turn on me when i bring this up with him , then all your assumptions and beliefs would be correct … but let’s hope i’m not made the fool . ”
no matter what was done , there was no doubt in solas’ mind that nick would be crying foul . that he would do something drastic . it didn’t matter if he was simply from tevinter or otherwise . solas was cautious because taeros was an elf and nick was a human . one that dealt with blood magic and insulted everyone who looked at him wrongly .
he supposed that it had to do with him being from tevinter . that he was this rude to anyone that wasn’t human , solas knew that taeros didn’t know the whole picture . neither did solas , but he knew that everything would come out in time . either naturally or by the force of his own hand .
that was something he was assured of completely . that everything would eventually come out for the world to see . that nick wouldn’t be able to hide just who and what he was anymore to the inquisition as a whole .
“ if i may be so bold to ask , ” he says , taking a step forward , “ do you truly believe that he would lash out ? even if what i saw was not the full picture ? better yet , how much do you even trust him ? i mean , truly trust him . ”
perhaps he was going too far with this or maybe... not far enough . maybe , just maybe he should ensure that nick lashed out . just to confirm and no doubt validate his assumptions . it would be risky . very risky , but it would truly be worth it ? he surely thought so .
“ i will be there for whatever happens . i can promise you that . ”
“Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. One action can shape our entire future. What, are you getting at Solas?” The Warden was concerned as they often shared intellectual conversations, even about the magical power of orb that powered her Valkyrie suit.
“That perhaps,” for the most part, “there can be a way to fix one that I made long ago. Before I decided to assist the Inquisition.” It was a very long time ago, before modern times, but it was something he shouldn't have done. Not when it was clear that all it did was cause more suffering. “If such a thing is even possible at this rate.”
