Featuring guest appearances from Roger, Janice, Tori M, Betony, Maureen, Vanessa and Carlos.
Kevin: Hi Friends! Good morning, Tumblr and Youtube. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, it is a very beautiful day! Welcome to the Common House! I'm Kevin!
Cecil: And I'm Cecil. We found out Tumblr was doing this really neat thing called Post It Forward where you leave messages people might need to hear. So [holds up a blue post it for tag with the blank filled in with everyone
and tagged with both the #postitforward hashtag and @dreamersunited] as the tag says we are posting it forward for everyone as a part of our first ever joint broadcast on our plurality channel under its new rebranding effort. So Hello Listeners and welcome to the Common House.
Kevin: Cecil and I figured it would be really neat to spotlight each other and some of the other Common House residents and see what messages we'd leave behind.
So, Cecil, friend, what's your message?
Cecil: It might seem really hard right now, but go do something nice for yourself to take back some control. Maybe something fun that reminds you that you got this far already and you can keep going.
And what's yours Kevin?
Kevin: Your past is a part of you but it doesn't define you. You have so many possibilities ahead of you. Don't be too afraid to chase them.
Next up some of our kids. First up is Earl's son Roger who is one of our selectively mute residents and a shifter who has the most adorable wolf ears.
Roger: [slowly unfolds one hand into a boy scout sign, fingerspells R-O-G-E-R then waves. Slowly holds up the #truthbomb app on our
phone opened to one that reads "We all just want to be seen and heard. No exceptions." waves]
Cecil: Thanks Roger. He's a very sweet boy, isn't he? Next up my favorite niece, Janice.
Janice: Thank you for letting me be on the show Uncle Cecil and Mr. Sonnen. I'd like to say, you can do anything you put your mind to.
Kevin: Thank you Janice! And next up little Tori M who is one of our littlest storytellers.
Tori M: Have fun and smile!
Cecil: Thank you, Tori. And another one of our selectively mute residents Betony who happens to be one of the memory spotters at the house and a peer supporter.
Betony: [waves, taps her chest to identify
herself, fingerspells B-E-T-O-N-Y with a couple small errors and embarrassedly puts her hand over her mouth. Holds up the #truthbomb app on our phone opened to one that reads "You can be scared, and really ready"]
Kevin: Thank you Betony!
Cecil: And next one of my former interns, Maureen.
Maureen: [sigh] Sometimes things really suck. Don't be afraid to stop or remove yourself if you can. Sometimes that is honestly your
best option. But, take inventory of the situation. You might be able to teach someone a thing or two.
Kevin: Thanks Maureen! And now my favorite scientist and intern and my girlfriend Vanessa!
Vanessa: [her voice cracks up and down a bit] Kev, sweetie, you know don't have to steal Cecil's lines to introduce me!
Kevin: But I wanted to try it this once!
Cecil: [giggles]
Vanessa: [shakes her head slightly] As the saying goes, "Only love is real." Find the things that make you sing.
Cecil: Thanks Vanessa. And last but certainly not least, my favorite scientist and my boyfriend Carlos!
Carlos: [playful amused scolding] Cec!
What do I think needs to be said? First of all, forget the haters. Most of the experiences you get in life are subjective. And honestly existence is the most thrilling fact of all! We all exist somewhere in some understanding of space and time and somewhere they match up and that is both exciting and scientifically fascinating. Oh! And sometimes you find the best things in the most unexpected places. Love you, Cec.
Cecil: [giggling] Love you, too, Carlos.
Kevin: [in a too loud stage whisper] Aren't they cute?
And that's all we have for today! Until next time Watchers and Listeners!
