The art of Japanese woodblock prints continued into the 20th century. Katsura Imperial Village is a complex of buildings and strolling gardens that date to the 16th century with expansion into the 17th century (Kyoto is a former capital of Japan) It became an inspiration for mid-20th century modernist architecture. June through mid-July is the rainy season in most of Japan.

Hello fellow Re:Draculas

As you all know, the season is almost upon us! And I was hoping for some advice

Last year @it-was-dead-when-i-found-it knit a beautiful temperature scarf and I wanted to try my hand at crocheting one this year!

Now for the part I need help with (under the cut)

I'm really really REALLY bad at picking out colors just in general, but this is even harder because I'd like for them to not only look good, but make SOME sense for the characters

So I was hoping the Dracula artists/scholars could help me out!

I'm a sucker for these colors (any dark purples, dark reds, muted pinks, greys, black), but I don't know who they could fit

A bit on the nose maybe, but I was thinking dark red for Dracula. No clue about his roommates or Renfield though

For Dr Malpractice I really want a dark forest green for some totally unknown reason 👀

And I was thinking some blues, maybe a greenish ocean blue for the Demeter times

And ofc I still need a color for the Months of Silence (or just any day without an entry)

And then there's a TON of minor characters that literally only show up once or twice 😫

It feels like a lot

I might end up adding to this post as I pick the colors or just make a spreadsheet to keep everything nice and tidy

But I'd love some input from you guys!

Oh wow this is SO cool, I can't wait to see how it turns out! I'll be keeping an eye out for sure >:)

I think for the purples/pinks I enjoyed them for Mina/Lucy, just know you'll get a LOT of whatever Mina's colour is! I've added a picture of the colour key I used for my Dracula scarf below, you're absolutely free to use any/all of these colour/character combinations or simply use it as inspiration!
