A spectacular #gyokuro from #SakuraiJapaneseTeaExperience in #Tokyo. Grown in #Uji, apparently this #tea cost $35 a cup, with five #infusions, after which the guest was served the leaves to eat once by themselves, then dressed with spices. A #beautiful #malty #aroma with a rich, creamy, #grassy, #maize like finish. *Ignore the ogre hand.

#Cascara from @vervecoffee. These are the #fruit of the #coffee #bean, usually discarded or used for fertilizer. It's sweet and syrupy with notes of #pomegranate, #fig, and dried #chili. I love seeing something that would normally be a waste product being turned into something so delicious. #coffeecherry

#Tea really is far prettier than coffee. Right now, tasting a #delicate and lightly #sweet #YuQian #Anji #Baicha. Although baicha refers to #whitetea, this tea is actually a processed #greentea and the name refers to the #cultivar, which has lighter, paler leaves.
