◾ Fred and Lizzie! Go!

Ooooo...

I think I’ll take this chance to do a headcanon based on the “What if Lizzie became an IF” AU.

Because IFs don’t exactly have a home outside of the Imaginary Realm, I like to think that if they needed some “Alone, Grown-Up Style Time” they just imagine a fun place to visit. The honeymoon (that I have half written somewhere in some notebook) takes place on a deserted island that Lizzie makes up.

But the closest they have to an actual home would be their doors. In the deleted scenes the Imaginary Realm has thousands of doors for the IFs to arrive and depart from. When they get married, Fred kicks over Go-To-Hell-Herman’s door (ignoring the sobbing and hurt looks) next to his and drags Lizzie’s new purple and glittery door next to his green and yellow splattered door.

When their seperate charges are asleep, and they’re both off the clock, sometimes they’ll sit on the steps by their doors and talk about their days, and in between playing with the other IFs, there are rare moments where Drop Dead Fred rests his head in Dizzie Lizzie’s lap and she strokes his hair as they talk, or Lizzie will lean back against Fred’s legs and lean her back to look up at him.

The other IFs will tease them about this, but it’s also so rare for there to be an imaginary marriage, that they’re also kinda of just...quietly happy for them.

So long as there’s no kissing! EUGCH!
