funny. im literally.
mad again. crowley's whole point is that humanity doesn't deserve to suffer for the crimes committed by heaven and hell, so his solution is to create a new universe without angels or demons. sacrificing themselves for humanity, sure, I get it. but what about all the humans who were wiped out with the book of life? god gave them the option of returning all those humans, and instead his solution is to start all over a la the great flood, something crowley was staunchly opposed to. so not only is there no happy ending for crowley and aziraphale, but there's no happy ending for recently corporeal jesus, or mrs sandwich, mr arnold, nina and maggie, adam and the them, newt and anathema. it's jobs kids all over again. they didn't want the new children the angels offered them, job and sitis wanted their children back. it's the same choice they gave adam. he wanted things to go back to normal with heaven and hell behaving themselves so he could play with his friends. how could crowley and aziraphale be happy sacrificing their existence knowing it condemns all of the humanity they know and love?
My deepest darkest fantasy is that I collapse on the street and I am rushed to the hospital. They perform a bunch of tests and find out I am severely deficient in some kind of vitamin. Then I start taking the vitamin and I become the happiest cleverest person alive because all my problems were caused by this one deficiency
Moreover, everyone gathers around to be tremulously compassionate and discreetly admiring: all this time, you lacked the Vitamin? And yet you persevered?
we need a lying on the ground dead emoji now more than ever
I love this tweet so much. Even as a child I couldn’t bear the hypocrisy.

knowing how it tends to go with male authors and their wives it was probably marge who wrote the odyssey
imagine you're an actor on black sails. you're just some random dude from australia or america doing shitty acting jobs (or royalty/maggie smiths son). then you get a part in this big pirate show. you get dumped in south africa and you're kind of just stuck there for four years. you spend it obsessively rehearsing and delivering the best performances of any of your lives in arguably one of the craziest stories ever told. then afterwards you go back to america or australia or england and for the rest of your life play side characters in like. The Flash and Umbrella Academy. or narrate pirate smut audiobooks. Crazy
i love the whole world violently. and i dont want to go to work
INTERVIEWER: When I consider what a risk it must have been to write about homosexuality when you did…
BALDWIN: You’re talking about Giovanni’s Room. Yeah, that was rough. But I had to do it to clarify something for myself.
INTERVIEWER: What was that?
BALDWIN: Where I was in the world. I mean, what I’m made of. Anyway, Giovanni’s Room is not really about homosexuality. It’s the vehicle through which the book moves. Go Tell It on the Mountain, for example, is not about a church and Giovanni is not really about homosexuality. It’s about what happens to you if you’re afraid to love anybody. Which is more interesting than the question of homosexuality.
— James Baldwin, from an interview with The Village Voice
don’t make other people’s decisions for them. apply for the job you don’t think you’ll get. let them decide if you have the skills they’re looking for. tell that person you like them even though you think they’re out of your league. let them decide if they like you. stop trying to predict and control everything. bring what you have to the table. let the rest go.
Confidence is not ‘they will like me’, it is ‘I’ll be fine, or even better off, if they don’t’.
Literally nobody I know knows Gayle Waters-Waters despite how much she has contributed to society and meme culture. Get rid of the couches. We can’t let people know we sit. Was anyone gonna tell me x or was I supposed to read it in x myself. That gif of her in the kitchen breaking a board with her head. Her mad dash from the house that ends with her jump kicking her mailbox off
