The Neon and the Black and White (a poem about my experience with bipolar 2)
In between the neon and the black and white
For just a moment I caught a sight
Of the full spectrum of colors
Other people take for granted
All the while I raved and ranted
They could never see my point of view
“We always see every hue, so should you!”
But I was stuck between the two
Electric yellow and shades of blue
The neon forever blindly bright
But with the suffocation of the black and white
I would always take the chance
For just a glance
At even the most painful of colors
