Intamacy
Intimacy
Many of the course concepts do not necessarily express fully my spatial observation of my Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity house space but one that does the job quiet well is indeed the term we reviewed in Bachelard’s “Corners” the term Intimacy. Intimacy is closeness, love, family or affection something that my fraternity has been holding within our household for over a hundred years. My brothers love and treat me with such affection and respect as if we lived together forever as we create a bond stronger than love presented in Abelard & Heloise and thicker than blood. With no question intimacy lives among my fraternity house for all of my brothers would do for each other as they would for themselves because it is in our creed which we live up to every single day. In our creed intimacy must take place as we sing united as one every morning “I believe in the spirit of Brotherhood for which it stands, I shall strive to attain its deals and by so doing bring to it honor and credit.” Bachelard’s found corners intimate spaces as I find this house intimate space where I am accepted because while some people see the house as danger, I see it as freedom from discrimination, crime, and problems occurring throughout my life.
