But seriously, how impressive is Carol? She completely shuts down her emotions to go into beast mode to protect her people, but she doesn’t just go on a rampage.  

She notices the Wolves don’t have guns.

Carol sees the big picture.  She could stop to save individuals, but then the Wolves get to the guns and everything will be lost.  No survivors.

Carol ignores those dying around her in the moment, but she still sees them.  

She still feels it–her face says it all–even before she breaks down.
