BELGIO E ITALIA: FORMATORI E OPERATORI DEL SOCIALE CONDIVIDONO SOLUZIONI E ESPERIENZE ATTRAVERSO LA COMPLEX LEARNING COMMUNITY

Segnaliamo volentieri l'iniziativa di educommunity - Educational Community, Associazione europea per la professionalità docente (www.educommunity.it) che dal 5 al 9 novembre prossimi accoglierà una delegazione di formatori della struttura SIREAS -  Service International de Recherche d'Education e d'Action Sociale - (www.sireas.be) proveniente dal Belgio per partecipare al corso "Complex Learning: un'opportunità di connessione e valorizzazione delle esperienze dei formatori che operano con i migranti IT-2012-838-004" (http://ec.europa.eu/education/trainingdatabase/index.cfm?fuseaction=DisplayCourse&cid=33255) promosso e condotto da Educommunity  nell'ambito del Programma europeo Grundtvig In Service Training (http://ec.europa.eu/education/trainingdatabase/) che finanzia la partecipazione a corsi, seminari e conferenze organizzate in ambito europeo.

L'iniziativa rappresenta un'interessante chiave di valorizzazione dell'esperienza di Complex Learning maturata nel corso del progetto leonardo da Vinci DEEPER (www.deeperproject.eu) di cui Learning Community è stata Partner.

Dal 5 al 9 novembre prossimo, chi lo vorrà potrà incontrare "virtualmente" attraverso la DEEPER community (http://community.deeperproject.eu/pg/dashboard/), il gruppo di formatori che lavorano presso SIREAS. Ancora una volta la DEEPER community permette di incontrare operatori provenienti da altri contesti con cui condividere temi e problemi di interesse comune.

Sì perchè, anche se il progetto DEEPER si è concluso, la Community è ancora attiva. Un incontro virtuale con gli operatori di SIREAS è programmato per il sei novembre prossimo tra le 10.00 e le 13.00. Chi lo desidera può collegarsi in qualunque momento e sfruttare la dimensione virtuale di tempo e spazio resa possibile dalla rete web.

Questa opportunità sarà molto preziosa al fine di condividere con i nuovi membri della Community discussioni, argomenti, metariali ed esperienze che arricchiranno  il percorso iniziato con il Progetto Leonardo da Vinci Deeper.

Si potrebbe seriamente prendere in considerazione l'opportunità di usufruire della modalità di finanziamento di In-service Training per andare a incontrare fisicamente i formatori belgi presso la loro sede a Bruxelles e conoscere da vicino la loro realtà professionale e operativa.

The Ageing Brain: Neuroplasticity and Lifelong Learning

The role of adult education is becoming increasingly important in the framework of policies to promote lifelong learning.

Adult participation in training activities, however, is still rather low, despite the incentives and initiatives aimed at allowing all citizens access to education and training at all ages in their lives. Participation tends to decrease concomitantly with increasing age: the major difficulty that elderly people have in learning is due to a deterioration of brain function, causing a progressive weakening of concentration, memory and mental flexibility.

Today, advanced researches in neuroscience show that brain ageing may be reversible: the brain is plastic in all stages of life, and its maps can restructure themselves through learning experiences.

The application of neuroscience theories about brain plasticity to adult education is essential to promote lifelong learning through the creation of learning environments based on competences, situated learning and active construction of knowledge.

In recent years the international economic crisis has caused an increase in the school dropout rate in all European countries. Finding a job, even if badly paid, is fast becoming a necessity for many young people. According to the latest official estimates, even though education levels have risen over the past 30 years, the school dropout rate is still very high, at 15 %, while the goal in the Europe 2020 strategy is to reduce it to at least 10 %.
