Do it scared but please don't do it hungry. Please don't do it dehydrated. It's gonna make it so much scarier. Please.

at least sisyphus only had one never-ending task. i have like 50 and all of them cost money
SCARED
Having a "stupider people have done this" attitude about the things you want to do can open so many doors
ahhh so you're shown to be capable of recognising that people's trauma can make them act irrationally and unpleasantly! you recognised it in the white man! can you also recognise it in the brown woman? no? she's mean and bitchy and uncaring? i see
āscientists donāt want you knowā is a phrase that always cracks me up because if you actually meet a scientist they will be shaking and crying like an overstimulated chihuahua with the need to let you know
I got a 4 min long video of Kimchi dreaming today, so here's a clip
You get the whole walk cycle and the little sprint at the end.
Sometimes her sprints last for like 4 or 5 seconds and she can shoot herself off the couch or into a wall if she gets a grip with her back claws. If she does it next to a wall, her head smacking into it sounds like someone is trying to break into the house. She doesn't wake up.
Later in the dream she injured her paw and was limping, and earlier she caught something and ate it.
I really enjoy the embryonic-stage xkcd comics from before randall munroe knew how to make them funny
"oh you still use tumblr? can I see?" no. that's where I keep my demons
There are multiple chapters that are set in hospitals where the characters are attempting to recover from injuries that never fully heal. I must once again stress that my experience in WWI was perfectly normal.
There is a giant horrible mudplain full of unrecoverable and perfectly preserved dead bodies that the characters have to walk through in a land where the air is poisoned gas, and on a compLETELY UNRELATED NOTE: WWI WAS TOTALLY FINE AND NORMAL!!
The protagonist of this story is able to physically return home, but never mentally or emotionally, as the journey he endured will forever live on with him, in an experience and feeling he alone bears the burden of and cannot relate to other with and also WWI was totally okay with me, JRR Tolkien, and does not haunt me it was so totally normal for me
āItās easy to assumeā: someoneās misconception is about to be amiably corrected
āItās tempting to assumeā: someoneās assumption is about to be criticized
āItās comforting to assumeā: someoneās assumption is going to be read for filth
every so often I remember when they crashed a train into a nuclear waste storage container, on purpose, to demonstrate how durable they were, and the storage container didn't lose any measurable containment whatsoever.
meanwhile, coal power plants can spray radioactive coal ash willy-nilly into the atmosphere all day and all night, but noooo, it's nuclear power that's the scary bad polluter.
i used to know someone who had actually worked extensively on the Hanford nuclear site cleanup, and she once told me she would feel perfectly safe driving right next to a nuclear fuel transport truck, but when she sees a tanker truck she avoids it like the plague, because they got to see the difference in first-hand demonstrations and it was terrifying.
you solve the mystery of what to have for dinner one night and you think "hell yeah case closed forever" WRONG there is a dinner mystery the next night too
ok so many people in the notes are talking about meal planning and leftovers and no. thats not what this is about.
leftovers and meal plans dont matter
dinner mystery isn't "i dont have food" its "what will my brain and/or body allow me to eat rn?" and thats a much more complex mystery than either lefties or planning can solve
Hanging out with people will make you remember you're the crazy woke friend for like. not wanting to shop at shien
