It's increasingly aware how much the newer generation sees misogyny as a joke.
Misogyny has become so ingrained into our society that people see it as a "lesser" form of oppression. "Misogyny is only done by harmless incels online!" Yeah, and those "harmless" incels go on to beat women because they won't give them what they want. The harness incels who degrade women for wanting to live life peacefully without misogyny. The harmless incels who then go on to make YouTube videos targeted to little boys ages 9 about "trolling feminists" who are just women online saying they don't want to be treated unequally and telling them to go back into the kitchen. The harmless incels who idolize fictional characters and even men in history who kill women. So yeah, I guess misogyny isn't such a big issue, huh!
Men kill hundreds of women and girls globally every single day, not counting the thousands if not millions more being abused/raped/trafficked etc. Every single day. But yeah misogyny should take a back seat.
If you don't believe misogyny is a serious form of oppression, I do not trust you. I will never believe you're a smart or compassionate person, and I will certainly never call you "feminist".
hate crimes against women aren’t even considered on most charts and statistics records because they make it impossible to visually compare the other forms of hate crimes because they literally become so small in comparison.
it’s literally just seen expected now though. my entire life i’ve been told “women belong in the kitchen” “shut up dishwasher” etc etc. women face misogyny day in and day out, and it literally shapes our lives. it gives us a life-long curfew, every single time we are in a car park, elevator, public bathroom, we search for something to defend ourselves. it becomes a part of our lives and habits next to eating and sleeping. but that is simply seen as “just how things are”, “just the way the world works”
they know perfectly well what misogyny is, how it effects women - they just don’t care to change it. they expect us to just accept it.
they simply accept women’s role as something akin to prey animals. like it just has to happen and everyone needs to move on. it’s a waste of time to mourn or do anything. they accept women as second class.
if a man tells you misogyny isn’t a real form of oppression it’s because he sees you as a prey animal in a wildlife documentary.
Misogyny is real and the deep hatred of women is sickening
You've got to be clitting me
“It is common belief that whatever the situation, both sexes faced it alike. But the male peasant, however cruelly oppressed, always had the right to beat his wife.”
— Rosalind Miles, Who Cooked the Last Supper?
“Because the truth is, tech doesn’t have an image problem. It doesn’t have a message problem. It has an intention problem. What’s wrong with the axe murderer who broke into my house is not that he hasn’t successfully persuaded me to buy into his narrative. What’s wrong is that he’s trying to kill me with an axe. Similarly, when you launch a product that’s designed to put millions of people out of work, block access to sources of verifiable truth, replace human creativity with slop, and lower the barriers to every sort of atrocity, the problem isn’t that you haven’t told the public a good story about those things. The problem is that you are trying to do them.”

i want to keep a diary so badly but have had issues with family and/or roommates, without fail and no matter how well hidden, reading them every single time ive tried. my mom used to tell me that it just fell into view when i wasnt home and she was in my room, and opened right to the page of whatever she was gonna get on me about (swearing up and down that she didnt read anything else), because god wanted her to see it lol
push yourself to get up before the rest of the world - start with 7am, then 6am, then 5:30am. go to the nearest hill with a big coat and a scarf and watch the sun rise.
push yourself to fall asleep earlier - start with 11pm, then 10pm, then 9pm. wake up in the morning feeling re-energized and comfortable.
get into the habit of cooking yourself a beautiful breakfast. fry tomatoes and mushrooms in real butter and garlic, fry an egg, slice up a fresh avocado and squirt way too much lemon on it. sit and eat it and do nothing else.
stretch. start by reaching for the sky as hard as you can, then trying to touch your toes. roll your head. stretch your fingers. stretch everything.
buy a 1L water bottle. start with pushing yourself to drink the whole thing in a day, then try drinking it twice.
buy a beautiful diary and a beautiful black pen. write down everything you do, including dinner dates, appointments, assignments, coffees, what you need to do that day. no detail is too small.
strip your bed of your sheets and empty your underwear draw into the washing machine. put a massive scoop of scented fabric softener in there and wash. make your bed in full.
organise your room. fold all your clothes (and bag what you don’t want), clean your mirror, your laptop, vacuum the floor. light a beautiful candle.
have a luxurious shower with your favourite music playing. wash your hair, scrub your body, brush your teeth. lather your whole body in moisturiser, get familiar with the part between your toes, your inner thighs, the back of your neck.
push yourself to go for a walk. take your headphones, go to the beach and walk. smile at strangers walking the other way and be surprised how many smile back. bring your dog and observe the dog’s behaviour. realise you can learn from your dog.
message old friends with personal jokes. reminisce. suggest a catch up soon, even if you don’t follow through. push yourself to follow through.
think long and hard about what interests you. crime? sex? boarding school? long-forgotten romance etiquette? find a book about it and read it. there is a book about literally everything.
become the person you would ideally fall in love with. let cars merge into your lane when driving. pay double for parking tickets and leave a second one in the machine. stick your tongue out at babies. compliment people on their cute clothes. challenge yourself to not ridicule anyone for a whole day. then two. then a week. walk with a straight posture. look people in the eye. ask people about their story. talk to acquaintances so they become friends.
lie in the sunshine. daydream about the life you would lead if failure wasn’t a thing. open your eyes. take small steps to make it happen for you.

If We Lived Here by Paula Rebsom
Wait but I thought dysphoria was a life ruining experience that will absolutely end in suicide if not treated with “life saving gender affirming care”? Is that not true when detransitioners have dysphoria? Their dysphoria isn’t life ruining because it’s inconvenient to your narrative?
And why are we ignoring the fact that elevated testosterone in female people is a health issue? It’s not just no big deal. It’s something that can impact female health. Especially if you’re literally injecting wrong sex hormones into yourself which can lead to increased risk of heart attack and osteoporosis and that’s just scratching the surface.
It isn’t “fearmongering” to talk about these very real risks.
Vaginal atrophy affects me literally every minute of every day lmfaoooooo these people know nothing but will never shut up like this is all cosmetic to them they think detrans women are angry we've been visually masculinized & cant be "pretty" again and not because we have lifelong health complications now
I think part of the problem is that ppl mostly focus on the effects cross-sex hormones have on aesthetics and fertility only. I've only ever seen any acknowledgement of other medical consequences (osteoporosis, elevated heart attack risk, painful vaginal atrophy, etc.) discussed on detrans and radfem pages.
TRAs don't like to acknowledge detransitioners at all, and if they do they usually straight up lie that everything short of "bottom surgery" is reversible. And rightwingers mostly harp on about how sad it is that detrans women aren't ~beautiful feminine~ waifs anymore and/or that they'll never be able to have/breastfeed their own children (generally without ever considering whether the woman in question actually even wants to have kids). And nobody on either side wants to listen to actual feminists or detransitioners.
