Does anyone else's head randomly jerk to the side because I mentioned it to my friend the other day and she looked concerned lol

Idk if this is what you’re talking about, but my neck has the constant urge to twitch, it’s just simple small rolls of my head. It fucking sucks though, I can feel the bones and cartilage in my neck grinding against each other, and if I don’t pet it happen the nerves in my neck have a meltdown and I can’t move my body for a few seconds because everything around my neck and spine feel like it’s on the surface of the sun.

I don't have that severe if I try to ignore it I don't think. But to be fair I don't try to ignore it often

It's also not wildly uncomfortable for me, it's just kind of annoying and if it happens too fast my neck hurts. Because it's like a very sudden jerk

I’ve been dealing with it for a bit over 5 and a half years, I feel like the worst of it is over, but it still sucks to deal with. I’ve gotten used to the idea that I have to deal with it permanently. Hopefully yours goes away someday soon.

Oh, and sometimes when the temperature around me suddenly changes the muscles in my neck spasm and my head flails around like a bobble head.

#I went to my doctor and he said it was a tick caused by puberty #but some other people I know have similar things but not as severe #I feel like we got poisoned as children or something and this is the long term effect appearing after years

A professor gave us an extra credit option: take a picture of yourself outside, doing something that you would not usually do. We were told not to take it too seriously. Here is my entry:

I maintain that sticking my head in the mailbox is not something I do on a regular basis.

Hello to everyone asking for an update!

The professor has said that he will put all submitted pictures into a powerpoint to be shown in class tomorrow (Tuesday, March 9th). I am very much looking forward to seeing the reaction from him and from the rest of the class. I promise to keep you informed.

Update: the professor saved my picture for last. I was told that I had "truly embodied the spirit of the assignment" and that I had gone "above and beyond."

Also, to everyone who is worrying about whether or not I got my head out, I was gifted with a very small head, and while I got out just fine I would NOT recommend this if you have a large head or even a normal sized head.
