Yo, I am semi back.

Been in a depressive episode a while. I am a massive introvert and have a social battery of basically zero. (I can get up to a normal amount on some occasions.) As I've said before, I'm bipolar I as well as other shit. I was hypo manic when HR dropped which swung into a full manic episode so I obviously burned out since I was do so much and invested so much time. I will slowly start engaging again. Have patience, I'm still in a hypo depressive state but trending upwards.

Finally tokenism, model minority, racism that Shane experienced is in the GP! I am happy to see Asian people explaining this in terms personal to them. She had a soft glove critique of Reid in the first one

She followed up with a stronger critique. We've already talked about these points ad nauseum, still we need to be more mean about the source material.

She points out how little his race/ethnicity was discussed. Yet, for some reason none of that impact wasn't discussed really and the faux-egalitarian vibe of the in-show universe. She also shits on RR's depiction of Shane's inner monologue, body type, feminization, stereotyping, and lack of character depth.

Very happy with these starting points the comments are giving me hopium.

I think it’s bc I don’t think getting hard or not in that context really means anything- like it could just be a biological reaction or they could be too aware of the cameras. Plus they also sometimes use padding in some scenes to make it look like it so trying to figure whether they are or not is unproductive.

Hey Sweetie, Re: Hudcon being poly. Although I think the idea is hot as hell! Realistically , I just don’t think it’s happening. Historically, when Hudcon get together they only have eyes for each other. I feel even more sure of that after seeing them with K last weekend. Hudson literally pulled Connor over so he could fawn over his boy’s fit and love on him while K gave them a brief smile and interacted with the other people around. Same with the second vid, those two were in their own little world with Hudaya laughing prettily and Connor being touchy.

Even taking it back to the initial introductions we got to their dynamic of the ice cream pic: Connor was sat across from them and appeared to be Hudson’s favorite subject. Then there’s the infamous VD picture K seemed to be laughing at something and looking down while Connor was looking directly at Hudson with yearning eyes.

We argued about it a bit amongst the coven. H is very much a show-er and some people assume #blessed and I agree. I put a whole vid in the folder because IMHO its a partial chub #tome. However, the angle/projection shifted after C tapped/caressed his waist. Like he was in puppy mode before. As that vid continues and he walks away it keeps projecting out further. I put the gifs of the leadup ctto.

They Gave Us Love and This Is How You Repay Them?

I don’t even know where to start, but this needs to be said clearly and without sugarcoating: what’s been happening in this fandom lately is vile.

Group chats circulating racism toward Hudson, homophobia toward Connor, and even escalating into criminal behavior, like attempting to contact his ex for revenge porn, is not “drama,” it’s abuse. It’s harassment. It’s dangerous.

These are real people. They are not characters you can twist, punish, or weaponize because you’re bored, angry, or chasing attention online. There is absolutely no justification for racism. None. There is absolutely no justification for homophobia. None. And there is never any justification for trying to solicit or spread intimate content without consent. That crosses from fandom toxicity into something genuinely harmful and illegal.

What makes this even more upsetting is that Hudson and Connor have consistently shown nothing but appreciation and love for this fanbase. They’ve shared their work with us, engaged with us, and trusted this  fandom to be one where that connection could exist. They gave us something meaningful, a gift, and this is how some people are choosing to respond?

If you claim to care about them, about this fandom, or even just about basic human decency, then this behavior should disgust you as much as it does me.

Call it out. Don’t participate. Don’t excuse it as “just how fandoms are.” It’s not. It’s a choice, and it’s a harmful one.

Fandom should be a place for creativity, joy, and community. Not a place where people are dehumanized, targeted, or put at risk.

Do better. Seriously.
