Hawke: *sits at the gang's usual table at the Hanged Man*
Hawke: *looks to the right* [Isabella's beautiful, beautiful breasts and her wicked grin]
Hawke: *looks to the left* [Fenris' strong arms, big eyes and tattoos]
Hawke: *looks centre* [Anders' big hands, his stubble, golden hair and long, long lashes]
Hawke: *looks sideways* [Varric's chest hair]
Hawke: *sweats* I'm in danger.
Makes me really sad whenever I'm reading post rebels S4 stuff and they act like Kanan and Jacen are Hera's only real family. Even official disney stuff acts like this sometimes. Like, those aren't just her coworkers, that's her fucking crew! Rebels did NOT air the most perfect found family dynamic ever just for people to act like blood family trumps all
should i eat first or shower first *has phone in couch time for another 3 hours due to choice procrastination, a behavioral phenomenon observed in pigeons and rats as well*
i' m something of a pigeons and rats myself
sequel to this -- they had to find out!

Everyone wanting Purple Hawke carnally through sheer magnetism is all well and good, but I personally like the idea of Blue Hawke showing people the first bit of kindness and respect they’ve gotten in years and can’t help fall in love with them.
You. You get it.
You know what I think it's great that the only way to 'fail' in Veilguard is to not care. You only get the bad ending if you don't care enough to get to know your companions and see their personal quests through to the end. If you don't care enough to fix the Crossroads and to find all of Solas' memories in an attempt to understand him better. It's what Solas fails at, just caring for the world as it is and the people around him. A conscious choice he makes to harden his heart in pursuit of his goals. And it's what makes Rook truly different from him in a redeem ending. That they care so much they even cared about an enemy. A huge theme of this game is that you NEED to care; for the world and for people. Caring saves the world.
And this is such a beautiful dichotomy when you're playing a Crow Rook.
Like my sibling in Andraste you kill people for a living. The compartmentalizing needed for someone who cares that much to casually stab and poison people as a job...
It's like Lucanis says, there are three types of people to a Crow: Targets, Enemies, and Family. It's like, to Crow Rook, if someone isn't a Target and hasn't made themselves an Enemy, what else can you treat them as but Family?
Crow Rook is psychologically fascinating.
Ship dynamics are always like Sunshine and Sunshine protector~ Cinnamon roll and their grumpy one 🤗 Well what about 2 cunts. They're both cunts and that's the dynamic. cunt4cunt.
I feel like Kanan’s leftover vice from his younger years would be that he sneaks up to the top of the Ghost for a smoke after the really tough days. Hera pretends she can’t smell it when he gets back.
this was meant for OCs in general, not ships, but man my brain has been so unironically this the past few days
Solas getting snarky with Lavellan in the fade when he's exhausted and she just. Stops. And gives him a look.
He thinks to apologise, or not to, when she turns to take his hand.
"We need rest."
"What we need is--"
"Solas, man of pride and spirit of wisdom," she snaps as she sets herself down on a conjured patch of soft earth. "If you do not sit with me and lay your head in my lap this instant--"
He's on his knees and collapsing down, hugging her midriff like a man at storm.
Hours later, he hums an apology, and she just scoffs.
"You are still a creature of flesh and blood, ma lath. No doubt I'll behave the same eventually."
A smile. Maybe he doesn't despise that fact so wholeheartedly anymore.
"Then I will remember your remedy for such an occasion."

"how can m/f ships be good-" first of all through the power of bisexuality anything is possible so write that down. second of all if we start othering ships based on gender and nothing else we're no better than the opposition. third of all you need to watch more addams family
If your primary concern in a ship is "they're two guys!" or "they're two girls!" or "one of them is nonbinary!" then it's going to be every bit as soulless as "Guy and Girl in close proximity, of course Romance will happen". If your judgement of whether a relationship is good is based on the genders of the participants then I don't trust you to write good romance.
"Is Solas capable of killing Lavellan?"
This question has kept me UP. DRAGON AGE VEILGUARD SPOILERS
I have to admit. I think the very CORE of why Solas won't let Lavellan join him in Trespasser is because...he could kill her. He has the capacity. But he doesn't want to give himself the chance.
He's killed Felassan. He's killed Mythal. He's killed Varric. He's not above killing those he holds dear if he views them as an obstacle to soothing his conscious.
While I think it would be AGONY, and he'd literally do everything he could to avoid that outcome, I do think he's capable. He'd restrain her, try to move her, probably even trick her so she'd get out the way. But I think if there was no other choice...
And in that final act of killing her, the very source of his newfound respect for the world. The very last of the man we knew as 'Solas' would be gone. I think the regret of killing Lavellan would kill something inside of him. Something integral to ever talking him down. It's a regret he would not ever recover from.
I know this has been exhausted. But Mythal is his past. Lavellan is his FUTURE and in directly killing that potential future for the sake of the past. Solas would lose himself more to his cause than he ever did before. In ways not even Felassan could have imagined. He'd have no hope, no reason, to ever silently want someone to stop him.
So yeah. I think part of the reason WHY he refuses to let her join him, and also probably why it's Varric talking him down initially and not Lavellan. Is because he could. And if he did, there would be no more hope for Solas in everyone's eyes. Including in Solas's.

Does anyone have that post about Astarion displaying more unnerving vampire traits?
Because this should be included.
