Qrow Branwen - RWBY

As I said in the WIP for this one, stop drawing Qrow... NEVER. This is the lineart scan for this piece but I wanted to get it out before I decided if I was going to color it or just gray scale shade it. I’m really loving this though...

“A Harbinger’s Feathers” - 2021

RWBY - Qrow Branwen in crow form

I admit, I got it in my head I wanted to just draw bird form Qrow and the reference pic I was using had the crow sitting on a pole and I was inspired. Qrow needs to be sitting on Harbinger’s handle. I just wish I could get my scanner to stop picking up EVERY pencil stroke. The original in my sketchbook is a lot softer and more well blended than this... but I still like the way this looks too.

Friendly reminder that GIMP does pretty much everything Photoshop does, and it’s 100% free. Fuck DRM and the license culture, we have plenty of open source options available to us as a consumer.

Lightworks is a freeware video editor on par with Premiere

Blender is an excellent freeware 3D renderer,possibly better than After Effects

Lightzone to replace Lightroom

Inkscape to replace Illustratr

Audacity to replace Audition (I also received a free version of Pro Tools with my Scarlett Solo audio interface)

If Adobe is going to be greedy shitheads, then fuck ‘em. Don’t use their stuff. Freeware can be just as good, if not better, than Adobe CC.

Actually finished this one about a month ago but never uploaded it. I was originally going to color it but when I did the line art inking I felt it looked better in gray scale.

I just have to add the pinback but I've finished the leather version of Clover's badge! It ended up a bit messier than I envisioned but since it's the first time I've done anything like this I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

since there's a huge surge in the fandom recently, you could try adding avatar themed buttons to try and help promote your post? like a button of the nation insignias and such

I admit, I’m not too familiar with Avatar, but I’ll certainly look into it because I’ve noticed that myself. A lot of it will depend on how well I can draw them myself too. But thank you for the suggestion!
