Baby Angharad – Pale Lights Intermission 2024
Fanart for the online book Pale Lights.
The gaggle of geese was harassing the puppy. Baby Angharad learned the hard way; geese does not care about toddlers being nobility. And will harass toddlers just as well as puppies.
Fun fact: Angharad’s outfit cut is modeled on a painting of a small boy. Back in the day, West European toddlers generally would all be in unisex clothes. As in: Dresses. Practically, this makes sense. Not just by reusing baby clothes, but also because Renaissance breeches and doublets were stringed together in a way that took at least a minute to tie. Imagine - best case - having to spend more than a minute tying on a pair of pants to your baby toddler’s doublet. Now imagine if they really need to go right now. Or just refuses to cooperate with you. (I put Tristan in pants on his picture, because otherwise it’d have been all everyone was focusing on. And sometimes, storytelling matters more than being technically correct)

SACRED BODIES is a story about what different people/s see as taboo, and the socio-cultural lines that delineate propriety and deviancy.
It's a 15+ rating on visuals and covers topics of intimacy, natural urges, shame and how we relate to these things and to each other. Also there's bird monster people, wow.
Positive affirmations:
I deserve a halberd
I should be given a halberd
People want me to have a halberd
I can be trusted to own a halberd
I will be given a halberd one day
People will think my halberd is incredibly hot
“Did a maid perchance apply most your cosmetics, back in Peredur?” Song asked. “I rarely wore much even on society evenings,” Angharad replied, idly putting Song’s hair in order. “It is considered in poor taste to bear both elaborate cosmetics and the duelist’s strap, as they have contrary implications.”
sorry the duelist's what

idk if I ever shared this but early this year I worked on a personal project called BloodFeast (a concept for a video game) which I wanted to make concept art, character designs and environmental sketches for but then life stuff got in the way. But here is what I got done!
