It makes me sick to my stomach to see the worsening famine in Gaza, not only because it’s such a vile and hateful thing to be happening in the world – but also because of how going hungry as a child can leave permanent physical and psychological marks on people. I work with infants and small children, and even toddlers need at least 1000 calories a day and on a consistent schedule.

Kids really do need to eat every few hours AT LEAST or they can get sick and experience horrible mood swings and anxiety. It’s difficult to manage in the best of circumstances, I can’t even imagine what the parents in Gaza are going through.

I will tell you my story about the war in the Gaza Strip, and I hope you will help me get out to safety. Thank you very much. I am Ali Miqdad, 33 years old, and my wife, Aya Hamdan, 25 years old. I have two children, my beloved, who is 5 years old and Adam, who is 2 years old

In light of the war on us, we lost everything: home, money, business, and even clothes. I paid everything in the house and business that I had because of the bombing that we witnessed throughout the days. To this day, we have been displaced several times, and the first night was very difficult. In the morning, it was our first displacement and exit from the house, and then we lost. We all lost our beautiful memories and the wonderful things that me and the family used to live on

We lost our beautiful memories and the wonderful things that my family and I used to live on. The hardest thing we lost was safety and peace due to the violent bombing that surrounded us at every time and moment and in all the places to which we were displaced. Also, the days that we spent in displacement several times were difficult due to the lack of work to obtain. For money, clothes, food, water, and meeting the needs of the family and the needs of the children, especially since we are in tents and there is no healthy food or medicine due to the spread of diseases.

Through the process of repeated displacement, we lost the stable and recreational life that I used to live with my wife, my children, Habiba and Adam, who lost their beautiful childhood, the first days of their childhood, and their toys that they loved and played with all the time. My daughter, Habiba, lost her studies in kindergarten, and my wife, who suffers from fatigue and exhaustion all the time. As a result of displacement from one place to another, and from tent to tent, which completely changed the nature of our lives from a beautiful house to a tent in the middle of the street in which we sleep.

My name is Mohammed Ayyad from Gaza. My wife, children and I were displaced quickly since the first days of the war on Gaza, leaving behind all our wealth and dreams. We are forced to leave our home and live in the south of Gaza, Rafah.

A few days after we left the house and went to the south (Rafah) we announce our tactics to our home with ease our beautiful next and destroyed everything we owned. Everything we had went with the wind, we are now working in hell (the tent) suffering one from collecting wood to cook food which is clearly difficult to produce from the water that was spread and is polluted by the cursed war and our work we lose our source of livelihood.

I became a desperate refugee and dug into a very small tent, without water and food life became horrible and sad with the disappearance of the need to survive. It is a struggle for survival.

Because of the continuous bombing and the difficulty of living with the high expectations our life is security our life is peace, we ask generous people to donate to service our planes. Our lives are threatened at any time, and everyone is exposed and death is not. We have never been safely moved to a place until war, and we have never lost our lives at any moment. This is why I get so tired about “whose a real women” and “are transgender people real” and the like because it’s so irrelevant. We have group or people that have an insane suicide rate and we have a solution that reduces that by an insane amount.

No matter how you slice it no theoretical reason nor gender rhetoric can change the gender affirming care is improving more lives than it’ll ever hurt
