I’ve been in this new mc world for a few solid hours and I haven’t run into. Anything

No peaceful mobs, no villages, no hostile mobs (I’ve been on easy for a few night cycles now- nada)

It’s kinda creeping me out

Update: found a underwater temple (on easy difficulty) and there’s nothing

No drowned, no guardians, no salmons or cods or any other fish in the water swimming around

Ok this sounds SUPER stereotypical and fake but there’s a song playing as bg music that I don’t recognize and it’s audio is. Very low? It has violins or violas and breathing sounds? I’m playing modless, and idk if it’s just something I’ve never heard before and I’m over exaggerating or it’s a new feature? Anyone know?

Edit to above log: it turns out it was one of the new underwater audio tracks (I wasn’t near water which was the weird part to me) but my game froze prior and it got stuck on one dial tone- so that’s solved! Still kinda weird tho

Update: more villages, no villagers- but I am coming upon new landscapes. I found a Mesa nearby, some more of the dark forest, some more sunken wrecks and tombs- the like. If it wasn’t so eerie, it would be a nice adventure world for loot! Still no animals though.

Every so often I’m getting a noise notification of <something trips> but no sounds are playing- so it’s a little creepy on its own

Update: I tried to stand in one spot and go afk for about 30 minutes to see if it was because I was moving too fast / not letting chunk spawn speed catch up to me- nothing spawned. I thought I saw something spawn in the distance, but when I went up to it there was just a “entity shadow” with nothing there. When I turned off and on my entity shadows it just went away- so I’m pretty sure it was another bug or something /:

Update: a few notable bugs have been found but they’re not really dangerous or spooky- more just confusing

Sometimes when I’m underwater and my bubbles run out, the last bubble “unpops” and pops again a few times. Also, looking upwards makes the sky look white (but only really for a second)

Some trees had been missing their bottom log (only the bottom log) but this has occured in my other worlds too, it’s just a chunk loading bug that happens if it’s on a cliff block i think?

Sometimes the water bubbles stay on my screen even when I’m walking on land (I’ve been swimming a lot tho so it could just be from dipping in and out of the water too much in one go)

Update:

The world sounds seem to be getting jumbled sometimes

Jumping out of water doesn’t give me the usual water splash until I get back in, and breaking a block will sometimes misplace and play long after I’ve left the area (it’s honestly terrifying, I whip around every time)

Those are the only two that have happened a few times, but I’ve also heard a bat (I got so excited and searched aroun) but it didn’t show up in the captions and there was no bat

Update:

specific foods (potatoes mostly) give me dead pixels when I eat them; and While now the <something trips> (aka me tripping) happens in the right place- it’s giving me the wrong sound If I listen closely (a item/tool breaking).

Also, seeds aren’t dropping? I ran out of items to eat since the last time I saw a village and was tryna start a wheat farm to settle down in one area and I can’t get the seeds to start one. Had to use my golden apples I found in a spanwer to keep alive

Update: found more diamonds in a villager chest so now I have enough to get a diamond pick without fear of not having enough for a diamond sword backup but I haven’t found ANY caves??? I know I found some a while ago but now there are like none to be found. This sucks. Either way, when I can get obsidian I’ll go to the nether

Otherwise, now I’m getting more phantom shadows and items (mostly misc items like dirt or sand, or even flowers) that I don’t think I’ve broken or dropped? They don’t pick up into my hot bar- and instead just disappear when I pick them up. But, this has only happened twice now- so idek

Update: I’ve been taking damage randomly from things that shouldn’t be giving me damage- but then healing up as if I was on peaceful mode? I got a clip of it, so I’ll show that after. Otherwise, things are generally the same- but now I’m a little more wary of my health because the hits just happen randomly- and I don’t want it to happen when I’m low on health if I’ve been dropping down a mountain

I got the monster hunter achievement from hitting a grass block and almost had a heart attack because a phantom object (allium flower) actually let me pick it up? not having crossed a flower biome since yesterday, I’m a little confused as to where it’s come from (I’ve never picked one up before)

Update: furnaces don’t work, like. At all. They glow and melt things, but it never uses up the coal I put and the ore when melted just transforms back to the ore block once I pick it up.

Later I tried making a iron golem, the blocks just stayed there and did nothing. Later tho I saw the subtitles say something abt the iron golem- I forget, and then I never heard of it again

Also: the moon cycles are fucked up? Idk if they follow any real or realistic pattern but if they do then they’re definitely out of order rn

I’m almost sure that this is just a common glitch but the moon keeps stuttering in the sky. I doubt it makes the nights any longer, but the sun doesn’t do the same thing- so it’s a little creepy to me (maybe just because I’ve never noticed it before)

Also, found another igloo- there were no villagers or zombie villagers under it (the cages to hold them were?) and I’m just finding more empty villages

In more though, when I walk in a straight line for too long my players view starts to shift down or to some side very slowly- tested to see if it was my hand laying on my trackpad but it doesn’t seem to be

My curser moving has become cryptid in upcoming developments- it’s been leading me somewhere

I know how much of an absolutely LOADED statement that is and how fake it sounds (trust me I’m trying to disprove it myself) but it always points north (by f3 coordinate standards- so it points north as my spawnpoint)

Every time I head south, or opposite of my spawnpoint, my vision shifts down- left being to the right, right to the left- so on so forth

What do I make of this? I have no idea

Update: ok ok ok ok so I see all the comments telling me to head north and to wherever it’s guiding me, and I also see all the comments saying this is fake so on so forth (trust me, I don’t blame you)- so I’ve made the executive dessision to make a redit sometime soon and post this and the videos I’ve posted to see if I can have anyone debunk it or figure out what’s actually going on

I’ll be heading north or wherever it points me soon, and from there I’ll make another update today if I get anywhere close, or if it leads me anywhere completely different

Update: took a break from exploring! I’m planning on settling down here and maybe making a fence around the feild to make sure none of the animals wander off (just Incase they’re the only ones somehow) and fully exploring the area around here

Do you think I should continue exploring randomly or settle down in the field? Chances are if I explore I’ll never stop exploring, and if I leave I don’t know if I’ll find more animals. But, it’s up to y’all now!

Ok so maybe it’s not COMPLETELY fixed yet? I’m still on easy, and no hostile mobs are spawning yet, and I’m still getting a lot of phantom objects littering everywhere. I’m having some “invisible attacks” still and taking damage out of nowhere, and my second attempt at a iron golem has yet to work (the blocks just. Stay there.)

While mobs are here and that’s a lot to celebrate, it seems like everything else is still. Happening.

Update: Hostile mobs have yet to spawn but I’ve been hearing them anyways? Sometimes regular mobs (sheep, chickens, etc) make the hostile mob sounds- and it’s terrifying ?????????

Water glitches persist nonetheless- and even seem to be getting worse? Blocks in the middle of the river next to my new home (which I’ll show screenies of once it’s done) are getting “flowing” marks- showing that the center source block has been removed despite me not removing it - or even having a bucket in the first place?

I swear I keep seeing zombies spawn, but they disappear before I get close

Update: Mobs still aren’t spawning, but the clusters of them that are phantom spawning are getting bigger (saw a 5 group big hoard of zombies at one point- which I’m 100% sure is normal but still odd)

I did make a house for myself really quick! It’s not really the extent of my building skills but it works enough to store a shit ton of chests to throw my loot in. I plan on heading due north when I play next time, and ONLY going north so I don’t lose my way back home (cords of my home will be posted next time too)

Otherwise? Water glitches persist, I spawned in my first salmon, audio glitches persist, food glitches persist, and smelting glitches persist

I ended up exploring again and I died to a enderman I couldn’t see that killed me in like 1.5 hits and I got the “monster hunter achievement” as I did. Because I had keep inventory on and I didn’t see an ender pearl in my invintory I’m assuming it either didn’t drop one or it straight up just wasn’t an enderman (it didn’t make a sound but it did say enderman vwoops in the subtitles right before so idk) but yeah
