Green beans: an analogy for sexuality (4 AM thoughts)
As of now, I hate green beans and will never voluntarily eat them. I've eaten them in the past with a smile, but will now never eat green beans. I will never tell anyone not to eat green beans. If someone wants to eat green beans, then go for it. I shouldn't conflate personal disgust with societal disgust, nor should I fall into the trap that just because I liked green beans before means I have to like them now.
This doesn't make my past self "wrong" or my current self "inconsistent". It simply means I don't like green beans.
