If your in this situation (this also goes for you OP), there’s a document called an advanced directive (also referred to as a living will), If you believe that your parents/ next of kin would not respect your choices for medical treatment or end-of-life choices you want, you can fill one out to make your own choices legally binding.

An advanced directive also allows you to assign a proxy, ie someone else to legally take over the spot that would be assigned to next of kin. This means your SO, your best friend, a member of your found family, or even your neighbor that you’d trust can take over the process of being your advocate should you fall ill and can’t make your own choices, or take over the end-of-life arrangements should you pass away.

Any LGBTQIA+ legal clinic in your state should be able to help you with these documents, some will even do them pro-bono for trans, NB, intersex, and gender diverse individuals.
