Most probably. But that doesn’t excuse shit. Taking down the story doesn’t mean they regret doing things it means they regret getting backlash for it. you and steve dating (secretly or not doesn’t matter) but every time you try to go on a date or do anything alone, the kids crash it or ask Steve for favors and Steve doesn’t say/do anything to stop it so it turns out to be weeks since you’ve had actual alone time and you’re so annoyed/pent up that you tell Steve that until he learns to say no to the kids you’ll going to be saying no to him (dates, sex, etc) because you’re tired of plans being ruined

We don’t talk enough about the fact that Steve wouldn’t have been Captain America without Bucky… like that’s how intertwined their story lines are with each other

yes technically Steve chose to get the serum on his own and was given the name “Captain America” while he was traveling and performing with the USO girls but he only had the title in a symbolic sense

He didn’t actually become the Captain America that was fighting on the front lines of the war until Bucky and his unit went missing and no one was going to save them so Steve decided to do so himself. Without this happening no one could really know if he would ever become the Captain America he ended up being. Romantically or not, I definitely believe they were soulmates and endgame completely destroys the Steve we saw in his solo films.

(Saw a sad stucky edit and all of the comments were trashing Steve’s ending which triggered this thought so enjoy)
