Okay but like what if Neil Josten has genuinely killed someone with his bare hands before and we just don't know about it because it meant nothing to him. Not enough to mention, at least. He was on the run, found himself in a dangerous situation, and did what he had to do to survive. To him it's like, well, this is not the first time that he's been in danger. Being on the streets will do that to you. Being on the streets and being chased by psychopathic family members will Definitely add an even better chance of that happening to you, so the fact that someone died this time by him doesn't really matter when you look at it in other ways. Say, when Mary kills someone for Neil. Same thing. Also happened. And it was kind of Neil's fault too, but what were they going to do?? Die?? No, they eliminated a threat.

Now watch him use this as a defense point when Kevin and Andrew confront him about not revealing the fact that he killed Grayson to them
