ʚɞ ⁺˖ ⸝⸝ Hello and welcome to my blog, Fae's Fantasies! You can call me Fae or Fairy, whichever you prefer. I'm 26 and I love love love anime and video games. Besides that, I love writing (obviously!), reading, drawing & playing D&D. I previously had a blog here on Tumblr (I'm going to keep it up so people can still find and read my works) but I wanted to start fresh. All of my moots are deactivated officially or no longer post at all. Besides, it's been years and I feel like I've grown, not only as a person, but as a writer as well! My rules and other important info about the blog will be under the cut. I'm just putting it all here in this post because honestly... I'm tired of my posts and links breaking. ʚɞ ⁺˖ ⸝⸝ I'm generally a really chill and laid back person. I feel like my rules are reasonable and for the most part, common sense. Breaking the rules I've put into place for this blog will either result in your request being deleted with no questions asked or a block, depending on the severity of the broken rule.

My blog will be 18+ The content I write will 110% include works that are mature/nsfw/dark/etc. in nature. The warning is here now for minors. If you read something and are uncomfortable, I apologize, but you have been warned.

Be kind and respect others as well as myself. We're all just people. We make mistakes. Treat people the way you want to be treated. We all have different views, morals and values in life and that's okay! My blog is a safe space for everyone. This means no: homophobia, transphobia, racism, etc. Anything that would be considered even close to hate speech is absolutely not allowed and not tolerated.

In terms of requesting, I will include fandoms, as well as the characters I write for from said fandoms, later in this post. If you do not see a character you would like a request for, all you have to do is ask first. If you at least ask if I would consider writing for them, I'm 10x more likely to actually do it. Otherwise, your request will be deleted.

Do not rush me/pester about requests I'm working on. Asking how I'm doing or how requests are coming along is fine, but if you're constantly in my DM's or ask box about a request you made, it most likely will just get deleted. I (unfortunately) am an adult. I have a job and responsibilities that I have to take care of. If I could just do this for a living, trust me, I would. And, as much as I do love writing and would hate to have to delete any requests, I don't want this blog feeling like a job.

I write headcanons, scenarios and imagines. I also write SFW and NSFW content. I write a variety of genres (fluff/angst/darker topics/etc.) However, NSFW does take me a little longer to get out, just because I want to make sure all of it doesn't end up feeling repetitive. Writing about darker topics can go one of two ways; I'm either fine with it or not. If you feel like it could be considered questionable, just ask me about it.

I do NOT do match ups. I'll consider doing them for follower events, but that's it. If you request a match up, it's going to be deleted. They take so much time and energy to do for me personally, so I can only handle doing them every so often.

OKAY OKAY OKAY so I think that Bucky would be so sweet and such a gentleman in a relationship.

Obviously, it would take a long time for the two of you to get together, with everything that happened, but once the two of you do, you guys are super close and damn near inseparable.

There would have to be a lot of trust between the two of you for this to work out, so Bucky absolutely feels comfortable being soft and gentle with you.

I feel like, because of Bucky’s past, he wants a super soft, gentle, domestic life. He would be the kind of guy when, the two of you are invited out, he comes up with some lame excuse to get the two of you out of it.

You guys would have lazy mornings, waking up and lounging in bed far longer than you should. Even if you tried to protest and get out of bed to start the day, Bucky would lazily wrap an arm around your waist and pull you back into bed, nuzzling into your neck.

When the two of you would finally start your day, hushed words and soft laughs would be exchanged between the two of you. You would start breakfast, his arms wrapped around your waist and burying his face into the crook of your neck. He is super clingy and affectionate when he’s tired or just waking up.

After eating and cleaning up, as long as there were no missions or errands to run, I think the two of you would just lounge around all day. Watching movies, reading, playing games, and catching up on the week.

For actual going out dates, I could totally see him being super excited to take you to an old-timey diner. I think he’d also like, as cliche as it sounds, nice long walks together, picnics, drive in movie theaters. In general, anything that’s low-key and calm.

Bucky is stupidly observant and practical, especially when it comes to gifts he would get you. That one time you mentioned randomly needing a new food processor? Yeah, he got you the most expensive one, with all the extra fancy bits and bobs for it. You ran out of your makeup? Gift cards to multiple beauty stores. An anniversary or your birthday is coming up? All that and your favorite flowers. Having a bad day or feeling down in the dumps? He either orders your favorite food or makes it himself (Steve totally did it, but he’s taking the credit for it).

His heart totally melts when he watches you interact with Alpine in any kind of capacity. It’s his two favorite people, how could he not?

He’s such a simple, soft man in a relationship. Like, I genuinely believe this with my whole heart and soul. It takes time, but when he gets to this point with another person, he’s just so clingy and loving

Please may I have a Blue exorcist angst scenario during childhood when Shiro took Rin's and Yukio's childhood friend in after the death of her mother..apparently her mother had listed Shiro as guardian if anything had happened to her and a Social worker took her to that Monastery where the Okumura brothers lived. She refused to knowledge anyone and spent half of her time in her new room..and bare in mind that the Okumura twins were 9 at the time and so was Rin's childhood friend. Being kind was the only thing that Shiro had advised to his adopted sons as she did go through a rather hard time..she..was in pain and who wouldn't be?.

It had been a particularly hard day, one that reminded you of past events that you often tried to block out. Your brows furrowed as your thoughts continued to assault your mind. Finally, slumping down onto your bed, you let them consume you.

It had been nearly 15 years since that fateful day; the day that changed the course of your life completely. You and your mother had spent the day out, getting groceries and stopping for lunch. Nothing was out of place; or so it seemed. After you had eaten dinner and your mother had helped to bathe you, it was time for bed. You fell asleep quickly, the day fun but tiring. It wasn't until the dead of night that a loud commotion roused you from your slumber. Even in your groggy state of being, you knew something was very wrong. As you stumbled to get to your mother, you blinked blearily. Even though you were young, you were still confused. What was mommy fighting? There wasn't anything there.

"(Y/n), no!" She screamed out, her eyes wide, tears streaming down her face. "Run!"

Your own eyes went wide. "Mommy!"

Your little arm stretched out towards her, but something stopped you in your tracks. A burning sensation seared through the flesh of your hand and you couldn't help but to let out a shrill scream. As you blinked, it was almost as a veil had been lifted. The confusion you had felt before slowly began to dissipate, morphing into horror. There were these... things, attacking her. You didn't know what they were. Monsters, like the ones you thought resided under your bed. That was the only thing that made sense in your mind.

However, you were ripped from your train of thoughts. It felt like time slowed down, the few seconds it took to happen, lasting for hours. You watched the light fade from your mothers eyes, her body going limp and falling to the floor. In that moment, your entire world shattered.

The rest of the night was a blur to you; all you could remember were a bunch of men and women you didn't know showing up to your house. They got rid of the monsters before covering your mothers body with a sheet. That was it; that was what finally broke you and shattered your soul. The one man that sat with you and comforted you once all was said and done, was the only one you happened to recognize.

When you awoke the next day, you woke up in an unfamiliar room. You were panicked but found yourself unable to move, the previous nights event playing on a loop in your head. Rolling over in your bed, you faced the wall, silent tears falling down your face and soaking your pillowcase. Eventually, you learned that you were at Shiro's monastery. Your mother had been close friends with Shiro, so when she passed, it was only natural that she had entrusted you to his care.

The twins, mainly Rin, had been peering into your room through the cracked door, his eyes trained on you intently. Yukio had taken a peak as well, but even as a child, he didn't want to bother you. They had stayed there for quite some time, even with Yukio borderline begging Rin to leave, that Shiro had discovered them.

"And what do we have here?" He hummed inquisitively, his brow quirked.

He leaned over, giving the two of them a good look over, nearly chuckling as they both nearly jumped out of their skin at his sudden appearance.

"F-Father!" Yukio's eyes were wide, bowing before the man. "We were just checking on her."

Shiro straightened his back, leaning back as he crossed his arms and put a finger to his chin, deep in thought. "Just checking, huh?"

Both of the boys nodded vigorously, but Rin of course, had many questions. "Who is she? What's her name? Why is she here? How long will she be here? What-"

He was cut off by Shiro grabbing his ear and pulling him away from the young girls' room. "All you need to know is that she's going through a hard time right now; be kind to her."

And that was that. Shiro had seemed very serious, so both of the boys dropped it, but that didn't stop the curiosity that plagued their small minds. They wanted to know why you were there and what had happened. But, they heeded the father's words, on the rare occasion that they saw you, that is.

You didn't come out from your room much and didn't interact with the others. Any time either of the brothers tried to talk to you, you would simply bow your head without saying a word. At one point, they wondered if you could even speak. However, on one fateful day, you had stumbled across Yukio and Shiro in his study late at night. Your brows furrowed as you listened.

"I know you're listening, (Y/n)"

You felt your cheeks burn with embarrassment, timidly pushing open the door and entering the room. "I-I'm sorry, Father Fujimoto..."

His eyes softened as he stood from his chair, Yukio watching you with wide eyes.

"It's quite alright, my dear." He glanced back to the other boy briefly before turning to you again, a question burning on the tip of his tongue. "Would you like to learn too? To protect yourself and those around you?"

Your eyes widened and your head snapped up. How did he...? But before you could say a word, he just gave you a knowing look. You felt like you didn't have anyone to protect now, not even yourself. It had just been you and your mother for so long now. Your eyes landed on Yukio's... he seemed scared, but interested in your response. Like he wanted to share this with someone else. Hesitantly, you nodded, signaling your agreement.

"Excellent. Good news Yukio, now it's not just you!" He grinned, standing from his crouched position in front of you. "We have a lot of work to do, so let's get into it (Y/n)."

From then on you trained under Shiro, alongside Yukio, learning the ways of the Exorcists. It was hard work and you were always tired, but what was even harder at times, was keeping this all away from Rin. You knew what he was; a demon. And not just any demon. He was the son of Satan. When you had first learned of this, you were immediately, and understandably, terrified. How could he be allowed to stay there? And Yukio; he was his twin brother, how did he not have the same issues Rin did?

These questions plagued your mind quite frequently, but it didn't bother you for long. Not with Yukio, anyways. In fact, you found yourself growing quite close to him. It felt like he was the only one who understood what you were going through, what you were feeling, what you were dealing with. The two of you developed a strong friendship that Rin most certainly noticed. And he was incredibly jealous of it.

He already felt like Yukio was the favored son out of the two of them, and now you, you were spending all your time with him and Shiro. And, even though he was young, he still found you quite pretty. He wanted to know more about you still. He hadn't been privy to the information that his twin brother had been.

It took quite some time for you to be comfortable around him; just over a year, in fact. You had watched him closely during that time, monitoring his movements. He seemed normal, for the most part. Odd at times, sure, but overall normal. It wasn't until your birthday that you finally began to open up and trust him. He hadn't done much, the three of you were still children after all, but it was the fact that he had tried so hard. He just wanted to make you smile, to make you laugh. You had been around for so long now, everyone at the monastery considered you family, and that included the twins.

It was hard; you had put walls up to keep yourself from getting hurt. You didn't want a repeat of what had happened to your mother. But, as more and more time passed, you found yourself growing closer to Rin. He balanced you out. You were always serious, quiet, and cautious while he was goofy, loud, and carefree. You couldn't understand it at times, sure, but as you grew you found him to be rather refreshing. Even more so in fact, when you had begun to develop a crush on him.

It had been years at this point and, with much encouragement from those around you, you finally took the leap. Rin wasn't going to do it, he was far too oblivious to realize all of the signs, both from himself and you. But the two of you were happy; you had each other, and the others.

Your memories are cut short by shuffling in the room. As you look up, your eyes meet the familiar cobalt blue of your lovers. You offer him a sad smile, one that he returns as he sits on the edge of the bed next to you. He knows that look all too well.

"You thinkin about it again?" His voice is soft and slow, not wanting to startle or pressure you.

You nod. "Yeah..."

You let out a sigh, unable to help yourself. He turns to you, concern briefly washing over his features before pulling you in close. You revel in the feeling of his arms around you, letting yourself finally relax. This is why, despite everything, you chose to be with him. He always knew exactly what to do whenever you were like this. You paused briefly, pulling away to look into his eyes.

"Is everything okay?" His brows furrow as he tilts his head inquisitively, watching you intently.

You offer a small smile before nodding. "Yes. I just... I'm so grateful, for you and your brother. You got me through the hardest time in my life. I... I don't know where I'd be without you Rin. I don't know if I can ever pay you back..."

You trail off, your head falling and your eyes landing on your lap. It was almost unbearable to look at him right now. You didn't look at him until you felt a hand lifting up your head by your chin that your eyes finally found his again.

"You don't have to do anything like that. You love me for me, right?" He paused briefly, waiting for you to nod. "Then we're even. You saw me for who I was, even when other people didn't. Shit, even now. You make me happy and I wanna do the same for you."

If it wasn't for Rin, you don't know where you'd be right now, but one thing was for certain; you were extremely grateful to him for everything he had done for you and loved him more than you could ever put into words.

Please may I have Blue exorcist headcanons of Rin Okumura with a female S/O (and childhood friend) who is exactly like Ichigo from Bleach..she had the Temptaint that allowed her to see Demons like Yukio since she was little..she did hate demons because her mother was murdered by one when she was 9..and before that..she was a crybaby when she was a little kid and bullied too. S/O is a First class Exorcist for her Knight and Dragoon User as her Meisters but apparently was still a target for fights because of her coloured hair.

Okay so, I feel like since they were childhood friends, Rin would have been super protective of her too, just like he was with Yukio

Any time someone bullied her, he was immediately there, which always resulted in a fight

Since her and Yukio were the only ones who weren’t afraid of him, he has a very strong sense of loyalty to the two of them

His s/o and Yukio probably became really close as children, seeing as they both had to struggle with having a temptaint so young

After her mother was killed, because of the circumstances, she was probably taken into the church the boys were raised in

When Rin found out what had happened and why she was there (not knowing the demon details) he made it his personal goal to get her to laugh and smile as much as possible

I feel like, as they grew up, his s/o and Yukio would unintentionally grow closer, both spending a lot of time studying and training to be exorcists and Rin gets reallyyyyyy jealous

I also feel like his s/o would have a period where she’s really scared of Rin, probably soon after she finds out what and who he is, and that’s part of the reason her and his brother get so close

Eventually though, once they started dating, Rin was actually extremely grateful the two of them get along so well

However, just like with Yukio, he felt hurt and betrayed that his s/o didn’t tell him about what the two of them had been doing/learning for years

She had wanted to tell him, truly she did, but it was important for them to keep his knowledge of demons to a minimum

After a few days of talking and explaining, they would eventually make up, but that’s when a different problem would begin to arise

Her and Yukio began to quickly rise through the exorcist ranks, Rin trailing not too far behind, but it seemed like his s/o had picked up on his nasty habit of constantly getting into fights

It wasn’t exactly her fault, her unnatural hair coloring always brought on unwanted attention and comments from the people around her, usually something along the lines of her failing as an exorcist looking the way that she does

Besides, she wasn’t one to back down from a fight, she wanted to prove herself and her capabilities

Honestly, I feel like Rin and his s/o are a little powerhouse; between her exorcist capabilities and his raw, demon powers, nothing can stop the two of them when they work together

When they’re not busy dealing with threats from Gehenna or other day to day inconveniences, I can see them having stay at home dates

Rin cooks for the two of them, and she sets up a nice space for them to enjoy their dinner, watch anime or movies, and just enjoy their time together

I don’t see them going out in public for their dates very often because being exorcists is exhausting, no matter how much stamina someone may have

They might go out to an amusement park or something similar every once in a blue moon, but that’s about it

The two of you were a powerhouse couple but, it still didn't change the shock that you had felt when it happened. Not even getting a heads up from your agent until after you had discovered the tabloids and headlines on the news, everyone seemed to know the two of you were dating before either of you did. I mean, it made sense. After all, you were one of the more popular female pro heroes to have entered the scene; your unique quirk, your can-do attitude, and your own personal flair. It had drawn attention and inspiration to many young girls with aspirations of being a pro just like you one day. And Bakugo, with his own identity, between his flashy powers and his own persona, which drew both positive and negative light to him.

You had wanted to refuse, truly you did, but you were unable to do so with any real conviction. Was it because it was already said and done and you felt like you really had no choice? Or was it because you had pined after the man for years and you felt this was the closest you were going to get to actually being with him? You weren't quite sure and that had bothered you since this all began.

It's been almost a year now since the two of you began this publicity campaign and your feelings were beginning to reach an unbearably uncomfortable peak. You weren't sure how much longer you could keep up this act for. Sure, behind closed doors nothing happened and you were simply colleagues, but all the hand-holding, public outings, and the kisses you had shared in front of paparazzi desperate for a juicy photo were wearing you down emotionally. This is what had brought you to your current predicament.

You and Bakugo had just finished your "one year anniversary date", returning to your home afterwards as your normally did to sell the story even further. It was quiet, the two of you mulling over the events of the evening and your own emotions. Your brows furrowed at the whirlwind of thoughts and feelings bombarding your brain. You couldn't do this anymore. It was killing you; between being exhausted from having to act so much, not being the truest version of yourself, and your own feelings towards the hot-headed man, you were exhausted. Glancing over to him, you could see he was also deep in thought. After mulling it over for a several, deafening moments, you finally broke the silence.

"I can't do this anymore."

You waited with baited breath for his reaction. His eyes flicked up briefly to meet yours before they settled on the rug again. He made a sound of annoyance, or maybe it was disapproval, you couldn't be entirely sure. You waited though, but after several moments of nothing on his end, you were beginning to doubt you were going to get a response.

"Well? Are you going to say something?"

His eyes narrowed as he fully met your gaze now, irritation laced heavily in his words. "What the fuck is there to say?"

Your eyes went wide, opening and closing your mouth several times. Nothing came out and you felt your heart break in that moment. So your suspicions were right; even after everything that had happened between the two of you for the last year, he still held no romantic feelings for you. In all actuality, he was barely holding it all in himself.

"You know what-" You briefly paused, not long enough for him to truly react. "I don't get what your problem is. If you despise my presence so much, which you clearly do, why would you let this little act go on for a whole year now? Why put up with it? You're the Bakugo. One of the most popular and famous pro heroes of our time. Did you really only do it for the excess fame and money?"

You could've sworn you saw hurt flash through his eyes at that, but that was far too uncharacteristic of him for you to believe it. Your eyes had to be playing tricks on you. There wasn't any other explanation. Without giving it much of a second thought, you continued on your rant.

"If so, you're an ass. I can't believe I put up with this and you for so long. And to think, I actually li-"

"Are you done yet?"

You were so taken aback by his interruption that you choked on your words, stuttering. With wide eyes, all you could do is stare before tears finally started to well up, the familiar sting pricking at the corners of your eyes.

"You know what? Fuck you."

He sighed, standing from his seat on your couch. "I've had it with your attitude."

Instinctively, you stood as well, your body moving on autopilot. It wasn't until he had backed you up against a wall that you snapped from your daze and back to reality. His arms were on either side of your head, his hands planted on the wall behind you, effectively caging you in.

"Bakugo, what are you d-"

"Shut up."

Your mouth went dry, your mind blank. What was happening? What side of him were you seeing right now? You wanted answers but you couldn't find any words.

"You act like this has been easy for me. I'll show you what I really think about you."

You had no idea what he was talking about or where he was going with this until you felt his lips on yours. Your eyes widened considerably, your body frozen on the spot. His movements were rough and sloppy. It was clear to anyone watching, but especially to you, how long he had wanted to do this. Your lids fluttered shut, your head tilting as you reciprocated. Your lips moved in tandem with his own, your hands finding their way to his chest. How long had you actually wanted to do this with him?

His hands removed themselves from the wall, trailing down your body, exploring every inch that he could get them on. You sighed softly into the kiss, unable to help the reactions he elicited from you. He smirked into the kiss, only deepening it as he pulled your form even closer to his own. He broke the kiss briefly.

"You're mine, (Y/n)" He growled before reattaching his lips to yours.

All you could do was let out a whine at his words, effectively surrendering yourself to him. His grip on your waist tightened before lifting you up. Your legs seemed to move on their own, wrapping around him as he began to carry you.

You pulled away. "Last door on the left." You panted, out of breath.

He let out a grunt with a slight nod, making his way down the hall before nudging the door open with his foot. Reattaching his lips to your own, he didn't break contact as he laid you down onto the bed. Soon his lips began to wander, moving to your cheek and pressing roughly before trailing down your neck.

"Everyone will know who you belong to."

His voice was gruff as his breath fanned against your ear. The sensation caused you to shutter before letting out a gasp. You couldn't help yourself, shuttering from the feeling of his tongue dragging against your neck agonizingly slow before he bit down.

"Bakugo.~" You whined, your tone quickly turning desperate.

He smirked against your neck, his jaw clamping down further before sucking on the sensitive flesh. You had never experienced anything quite like it before. It made your back arch, pushing your figure against his. Your hands found his body, grabbing and holding on as if your life depended on it. At this point, you didn't know what you were grabbing on to, but you didn't care. All you knew was that you needed him and you needed him now or you were sure you were going to explode.

"Please..." You whined softly.

He removed himself from your neck, pulling back just enough so that he was hovering over you. "Please what?"

"Fuck me."

You watched him through half-lidded, lust-filled eyes. You were begging him for this and he was much too happy to oblige. He made quick work removing his clothes as well as yours, not keen on waiting for you to untangle yourself. As you laid there in all your naked glory, he smirked for what felt like the millionth time that night.

"What?" You huffed, clearly growing impatient.

"I'm gonna have so much fun ruining you."

Your brows knit together. "Wha-"

He cut you off, the head of his cock teasing your entrance. Your mouth immediately clamped shut, your breath hitched in your throat. He grinned at your reaction.

"You sure this is what you want?"

You were stunned, silent for a moment before nodding slowly. "Yes... I'll do anything. Please.~"

Your whining and begging was all he needed to hear, his hips snapping forward as he filled you completely. "Anything, huh?" He groaned slightly, his eyes hot on yours.

Unable to help yourself, you moaned loudly as you nodded with sheer desperation. "Yes, any-mmph!~"

He didn't wait for you to finish before his hips pulled back and snapped into you again.

"You're so fucking wet already. Just for me?"

With a grin, his pace began to pick up, grunts and groans slipping from his mouth as he mercilessly plowed into you. Your brain was mush, your vision swimming from the pure euphoria. It didn't take long before you felt yourself getting close to the edge.

"I-"

"I know." He grunted. "Cum for me. Now."

It wasn't a request. It was an order, a demand, barked out in between thrusts. Unable to help yourself, you complied. You clamped down around his length, squirming as you clawed at his back. The way you felt and sounded coming undone for him was almost too much for him to handle. Pulling out, you whined at the sudden empty feeling. His words broke your train of thought and you blinked owlishly before it hit you. What had happened, what the two of you had just done. Your cheeks burned and you looked away, biting your lip.

"Love you too." He chuckled.

The heat in your face kicked up several more notches. "Yeah yeah, I love you."

This had turned out much better than you had planned. Who knew that he felt the same way about you all these years? Your feelings had been mutual, and the lie that had started this all, was now reality.

It had all started like any other normal day. You were spending time with your boyfriend Kirishima and your friends. Everyone was excited, but none as excited as you. Your class had recently graduated from U.A. and the recommendations that had been sent out to different hero agencies in the area were sending out their responses. You had always dreamed of becoming a pro hero, ever since you were little. You had worked hard since day one to ensure that your dreams and goals would become fully realized. When they finally did arrive, you and Kirishima chose to wait, you wanted to open them together back at your shared apartment.

"Don't worry! There's no way you didn't get accepted. Who wouldn't want you, sweetheart?"

Your boyfriends words seemed to calm your nerves for the most part in the moment. But once you got home, after opening the letter and eagerly reading its' contents, his muffled words echoed in your mind. Memories of your friends' overjoyed expressions swirled through your thoughts. You had been rejected. The agency you had dreamed of joining for the last four years; gone, in an instant. You couldn't hide your disappointment, the way that your heart ached and tears pricked at the corner of your eyes.

"(Y/n)..." Kirishima frowned as he watched you, instinctively moving closer to comfort you.

Sniffling, you shook your head. How could this happen to you? All of your friends got accepted, your boyfriend too, so why not you? It felt like everything was falling apart. Everything you had worked for, had it been for nothing? You felt your thoughts, yourself, spiraling. Your breath hitched in your throat, the tight sensation making it difficult to breathe as tears freely streamed down your cheeks. It wasn't until you felt arms pulling you in that you snapped from your daze.

"Shh... it's okay." He murmured, one hand coming up to stroke your hair.

Your silent tears turned into audible sobs, your body wracked from the sheer intensity of your disappointment. The two of you stayed like that for what felt like hours. And soon, you had no tears left to cry. Your eyes were swollen and your throat burned. You just wanted today to be over.

Once he was sure you were done crying, Kirishima pulled back just enough so that he could look at your face, his arms loosely wrapped around your figure. He offered a small, soft smile to which you returned a sad one.

"Hey..." He started slow, his voice soft and even. "I know you're bummed out but look at it like this-"

He cut himself off, tilting up your face by your chin. "If the rest of us can get in, so can you. Besides-"

He paused briefly, unable to stop the grin that spread across his features. "If they can't see how amazing you are, then they don't deserve you. There are lots of other agencies who would love to have you. I know it sucks and doesn't feel good, but you can't let one setback make all your hard work for nothing. You can't let it stop you from achieving your dreams! Only you get to do that, (Y/n)."

His words caused something to stir within you. He was right. Why should you let one little bump in the road determine your future? You were filled with newfound determination and drive. You would work ten times harder if you had to. However, a new thought popped into your head.

"You still promise to kick butt with me when I become a full-fledged pro too?" You smiled sheepishly, your cheeks dusted with pink.

He sat up then, his spine rigid, a very serious expression on his face. "Of course! It would be totally unmanly of me if I didn't."

His façade faltered then, a smile peeking through the cracks. Unable to help yourself, you giggled, your lips also upturning.

"Thank you... for everything. I don't know what I would do without you." You hummed softly, scooting closer to him and allowing your head to rest on his chest.

He kissed the top of your head before resting his chin on it. "Anything for you. I love you buttercup. And, if you want, I'll help you train more too! We'll do anything and everything to make sure that you knock the next agencies socks off!"

Laughing, you nodded as he finished his little speech. It was times like these that you became painfully aware of how lucky you felt to have Kirishima. From childhood friends to lovers, he was always by your side, always making you feel better whenever you were down in the dumps. And the most important part of it all; he always made sure that you remembered your worth.

It had been a long day. There were nonstop Hollow attacks left and right, for over twelve hours straight. You weren’t sure why there were so many, but nevertheless, you were at the front lines, killing them one by one. Now, after a hard days work, all you wanted to do was get home and take a nice bath. Not only were you exhausted, but you also were coated in a thick layer of sweat, dirt, and grime. You prayed that would be enough for your captain, but alas it was not, seeing as how you were cursed with the strictest captain of them all; Byakuya Kuchiki. And of course, no matter the reason, he wanted all of your paperwork done, then and there. So, with a grumble, you plopped into one of the seats in his office and got to work.

The only upside to being third chair and having to help out with paperwork was Lieutenant Abarai. To say you had a crush on him would be an understatement. You had pined after him for years at this point, unable to give up your unrequited love. How could you confess when it was so painfully obvious that he was madly in love with Rukia, your captains younger, adopted sister? It just wasn’t... fair. But that never stopped you anyways.

The three of you worked together in silence. It didn’t take long for your captain to finish. As he floated gracefully from the office, you glanced up at Renji. His stack of papers was still infinitely thicker than your own and you couldn’t help but to feel bad for him. With a sigh, you finished up the last of your paperwork, standing and striding to your superiors desk. He looked up at you, dark circles under his eyes, his hair messy and a tired expression etched deep within his features. You offered your own tired smile before taking half of his work load. He blinked, his eyes wide with surprise. As he opened his mouth to protest, you turned, heading back to your own desk and working on your newly acquired papers. Renji let out a tired sigh but said nothing and got back to work.

It really didn’t take too much longer for you to finish your lieutenant’s extra pile of work. The promise of a hot bath and some much needed rest fueling you to get done in record time. The only issue seemed to be that you would have to leave the company of your favorite person. You frowned to yourself as you stood from your seat, stretching your limbs with a series of satisfying pops. Renji’s head jerked up as if he had been falling asleep, his eyes meeting yours groggily. He sighed as he shifted in his own chair.

"Done already, (L/n)?”

“Yes, Lieutenant Abarai.” You hummed gently, your words barely above a whisper.

It looked as though a soft pink brushed against his cheeks, but he dipped his head down before you could really get a good look. “Al-alright. Go get some rest, we have more work to do in the morning.”

With a huff, you nodded. “Yes sir, see you in the morning.”

As you exited the office, you realized it wasn’t too late, not like anyone really slept or anything closed. Letting out a sigh of relief, you chose to head to the local bath house, instead of the barracks. You just wanted to be able to relax, the natural minerals of the spring helping to soothe your aching body. Not to mention the fact that you wanted to grab a bite to eat, seeing as how you had missed dinner. After you had eaten, your hunger finally sated after a long day of not eating at all, you made your way to the bathing area of the facility.

Unfortunately, the nearest bath house was co-ed. Fortunately, because it was late, you were the only person there tonight. Once you had finished your pre-wash shower, you made your way into the bath room. The second you stepped in, the steam and warmth hit you, making all of your stress almost instantly melt from your shoulders. Gently padding over, you slowly stepped in until you were submerged up to your knees. Taking a seat, the hot water rushed over your shoulders, undoing the knots that had wormed their way into your muscles.

You hadn’t planned on being there long, just long enough so that you could relax enough in order to go to sleep. You also hadn’t expected anyone else to be there so late, but lo and behold, someone else decided to show up and ruin your alone time. Letting out a groan, your head swiveled towards the entryway and you felt your blood run cold. There, in all his naked glory, stood Renji. Normally, your own nudity and the nudity of others wouldn’t really bother you, at least, not at the bath house it wouldn’t. This was natural, everyone did it, but this was completely different. You were alone, naked, with a man that you were very much in love with.

The two of you immediately broke eye contact, your heads darting in different directions. It was silent between the two of you, the only sound being the water rushing out of the miniature waterfall at the far end of the room. Still not looking at each other, Renji was the first to speak up.

“I’ll uh- I mean, I can go. You- you obviously need this more than I do.” You could hear his feet begin to retreat and your head snapped up. 

“Wait!” His steps falter, hesitating as he awaited what you had to say. “Don’t... don’t leave. You need this just as much as I do, besides...”

You took a deep breath as he turned, meeting your gaze. “I don’t want you to go...”

There was no denying it this time. His cheeks flared a brilliant cherry red, rivaling his own eccentric hair color. Your own words, and his reaction, caused your own cheeks to burn. The heat was infinitely more intense than that of the springs, spreading from your cheeks to your ears and the back of your neck. 

“A- Alright, if you ah, if you say so.” 

Honestly, seeing Renji in such a flustered state was kind of adorable. He was usually so cocky and confident, so sure of himself. So, to see him in such a state was a rare occurrence. Which raised the question; why was he so flustered? Was it because he actually liked you back? Even the thought of there being a possibility that he did sent tingles up your spine, causing you to shiver regardless of the blush still searing your cheeks and the hot water caressing your figure.

He situated himself a good distance away from you, his back turned to face you instead. You couldn’t stop yourself and, before you knew it, were studying the muscles that rippled under his skin with every movement. The water droplets that settled into the different grooves and dips of his flesh caused heat to flood into your core. You were just content to stare, watching as the water flowed over his body.

"(Y/n)!”

Blinking, you shook your head, finally snapping out of your daze. You hadn’t even realized that Renji had turned around and that you had actually been staring at his abs for half of your dazed gaze.
