How do I explain to you people that interracial relationships are okay
Not every white person dating a POC is fetishizing. White people can be respectful and responsible when it comes to culture and relationships and not everyone has bad intentions.
Asian people can date Black people without you saying shit like “your kids will be so pretty” they’re not dating for pretty kids. They’re dating bc they like each other.
Someone can dress their partner in clothing from their culture if they want. Someone can take their partner to cultural events if they want.
People in relationships can share cultures, experiences and love without it being toxic or skin deep.
Their partner isn’t culturally appropriating. Their partner is being shown the ultimate form of love, bc their partner trusts them and loves them enough to share their history and heritage.
Yeah, dating someone from your culture is nice bc you automatically have similar experiences. But you’re not limited to dating people with the same experiences. Loving someone is sharing and growing and being together.
Interracial relationships aren’t always toxic, and some of y’all need to stop projecting onto other people.

if the only thing you consume is cookie-cutter “good“ than how are you going to act when something bad happens irl? when you do something bad irl? what do you do when your favorite Pure media suddenly a Not Good??? cause that’s the thing, NOTHING is perfect. NOTHING and NO ONE. we’re all flawed people and the stuff we create is going to be flawed and that’s what makes us human. stop trying to be perfect, it’s literally impossible, and learn how to say “this thing has problems and i’m willing to look at and discuss them, but it’s also something i enjoy and i am going to also celebrate the good”
i just. when i was a kid i was That™ warriors kid on the playground. running around on all fours hissing and doing clan meetings with my friend group on the slide. i read every fucking warriors book that existed, which is not an easy feat
looking at it now, i can tell you the treasure trove of Problematic Content™ it has. the rampant sexism (despite all the authors being women??), lack of care for continuity or exploring the world outside of our protags, one-dimensional villains, indigenous stereotyping/appropriation, even more sexism, the age gaps and incest-y relationships that the authors either don’t notice, refuse to acknowledge, or defend for some fucking reason, the INSANE ableism and heteronormativity… it’s a MESS.
i’m still glad i read it. i still reblog fanart of hollyleaf and leafpool, still point at cats and give them warrior names, i still think fondly of the island in the lake behind my friend’s house that looked exactly like the meeting spot in the books, still joke with friends about which clan we’d be in or our favorite characters would be in
as a kid, i didn’t notice all the issues, but there were others i could spot. i could spot the accidental incest and say “that’s weird, i don’t like that.” i didn’t notice the sexism in the way the female characters were always shoved aside and ended up becoming Doting Mothers™, but i did notice the ableism of assuming cinderpelt and jayfeather couldn’t be warriors despite their disabilities not being something that would stop an irl cat from finding a way to hunt or fight. and i was able to say “i don’t like these parts, and there would be a way to do them better.”
contrast to when i was in… fourth grade? third? i remember i was in public school, and i borrowed a book from the library that offhandedly mentioned a ouija board. i asked my mom how to pronounce this strange new word and she immediately took the book from me until it was time to return it. this didn’t teach me what my mom wanted me to learn, which was “we don’t fuck with demons in this house,” it just taught me that i couldn’t go to my mom with questions about books i was reading because she would take them away.
it was way better for my young, learning mind to say “what is wrong with this, why does it feel wrong, and what could they have done better” than to just take the Problems™ away
and obviously i dont think people should actively seek out shit media, but like. reading or watching something with Problems™ isn’t the end of the fucking world

i sometimes feel that in efforts to like, be more accepting of people’s expressions and stuff, even when it comes to the expressions of cishet people, y’all do sometimes throw backhanded shade at queer people.
like the whole concept of “let cishet men/women dress in gnc styles” yes, that’s great and all.
but more than often you actually blame gay and lesbian people for like…them not being able to. and like, it isn’t the fault of gay and lesbian gnc people that cishet people aren’t allowed to dress gnc. it’s not their fault.
or my favorite ‘let men dress in certain ways without saying they’re gay” how quickly do you turn to acceptance of cishet men but then act homophobic in the next sentence. because if gay is the worst thing you can be called or if you think gay is an insult then you need to reevaluate your activism. especially given the only reason that cishet men nowadays feel comfortable dressing femme is because gay femme men had to go through hell and back to get it ‘normalized’. and let’s not even discuss how it was black gay femme men who did the work and they are erased.
my point is, yeah it’s cool to be open to accepting that cishet people can also partake in things that aren’t conventionally cishet. but also, stop shitting on literal queer people for them not being ‘allowed’ to do that when queer people are the only reason they can because queer people normalized tf outta that but still don’t get credit.
and i do hope that you are uplifting gay and lesbians gnc, nonbinary, gender fluid people, esp black people, who are still doing the work to be accepted. and many times, especially if they are black, they aren’t accepted by lgbtz or cishets
I HATE to say this, but please learn to make your cishet positivity posts without throwing actual queer people under the bus. Especially given those people still are not accepted or ‘normalized’ the way you think they are.

Genuine question, but do you think fat people can look good in cosplay? I’m 5’2 and 152 pounds, and everyone I saw cosplaying all have supermodel-like bodies and I feel kinda discouraged even though I want to try it at least once.
Fat people look awesome in cosplay! Being fat has nothing to do with whether or not the cosplay is awesome.
I would post some pictures I have of fat cosplayers but I can't remember who the photos are of and don't want to post without credit but if anyone has any please send them in to show anon you can look awesome no matter your weight
