This is my RWBY-specific sideblog, so I normally don’t talk politics on here, but I wanted to make a quick post clarifying my stances on U.S. politics. Nobody asked, but things are getting hot in the U.S. and I wanted to stake my position, come hell or high water.
I have hated Trump since the bastard first walked down that elevator in 2015 and in my personal life I have consistently warned anyone that would listen (and many that didn’t) that he was a fascist authoritarian wannabe dictator.
From the very first time he won in 2016, I could not fathom why such a loathsome, racist, idiotic, incompetent moron could have so many people think he was somehow qualified to decide what countries the U.S. should obliterate in nuclear hellfire.
I didn’t randomly develop this position recently either. Not in 2024, 2020, 2017, or any other arbitrary date after his opening speech. He was a racist piece of shit from the very beginning, when he called Mexicans murderers and rapists, and those claiming “Oh Trump’s first term was so good and normal but now he’s gotten so much worse” are deluding themselves, or are cowards unwilling to acknowledge how much they tolerated his most despicable traits for their own selfish reasons.
I am a registered and proud Democrat. I couldn’t vote in 2016, but I am proud to have voted in 2020 and 2024 for Biden and Kamala, respectively.
I keep these opinions mostly off of here for organizational purposes, and because I know that in the most trying of times, it’s nice to have media that isn’t a constant stream of awful news. And while I’m only a small creator in a very small pond, I like to think I’m doing my part to entertain people.
However.
I didn’t keep that shit off this blog because my political opinions are in any way “centrist”, or because I’m afraid of saying them.
If you’re a fascist (read: Conservative, Republican, MAGA, Klan member, ICE/CBP agent, or any other synonym I forgot), I can’t stop you from following me or enjoying my content, but I would like you to know that I don’t support your toxic beliefs, and you should be ashamed of the hell you have wrought on the country and the world.
If you believe in the rule of law, in the idea that all people should be treated fairly, and that Nazis are evil, welcome to my blog, I hope you enjoy your stay, and I hope we can become friends.
We all need those in these trying times.
To close, I’m going to pin this to the top of my blog. Given how things are going, I do not know when I’ll be able or willing to take it down. Probably 4 years, hopefully significantly sooner.
But otherwise, I am going to try and keep IRL politics on this blog to a minimum…with one exception.
When Trump dies, and make no mistake, that racist, misogynistic, idiotic, greedy, corrupt, vain, incompetent, disgusting, pedophilic rapist will die, and likely well before the end of his second term (possibly very soon if his appearance is anything to go by), I am going to be spamming that news on every single feed I can possibly influence, and this sideblog may or may not be one of them.
Stay safe everyone. Things suck, but we’re not alone.
...Holy shit. If we follow canon, too, the death would be less about female empowerment and more about recovering from trauma and moving forward with being bound by a toxic sense of responsibility.
I mean, the character death otherwise would still be out of left field and bullshit (mostly because of the brand), but still...
Jaune would absolutely support womens’ right to vote.
That said, I get tired of Jaune harems really quickly. I prefer to spend a little extra for the carefully-crafted poly ships where each character is fleshed out!
Though now that I think about a “Jaune harem” there was that one post about Weiss adopting mistreated Jaunes from the multiverse and making her own harem of Jaunes.
Weiss: Ruby, why is it that whenever you do literally anything else, you stay up till 2 am for no reason, but when you’re with me you want to go to bed at like 9 pm? Do you hate hanging out with me that much?
Ruby: I don’t hate you! I…just…
Ruby: …I know staying up late is bad for me. It’s just…so damn hard to force myself to sleep at a normal time. My brain just keeps running and running and it’s impossible to get it to stop, and I feel like if I am not constantly occupied those thoughts will swallow me whole.
Ruby: But when I’m with you I feel…safe. Your smell, your body cuddled against mine, the even sound of your breathing, it makes the brain noises a little quieter. It doesn’t fix the problem, but it does make it easier to push with those thoughts down and rest.
Ruby: And also…I’m okay with doing something bad like staying up late if I’m the only one being hurt. But I don’t want to hurt you. So I want you to get adequate rest, at least while I’m here.
Jaune: Man, cucking is such a weird kink to be into. Is anyone really into that?
Pyrrha: Me! Hahahaha! I love getting cucked by a hotter younger sexier woman. The degradation you get by being ignored by the person you love is thrilling!
Jaune: …
Pyrrha: …Just kidding! I’d never be into that, it’s so weird, haha.
Yang: If your girlfriend wants to, do you let her-
Jaune: Yes. I'll stop you right there. She gets to do whatever in the world she wants and if someone gets in the way of that, then I'll crush their rib cage like an empty aluminum can.
I understand what the pendulum of politics is but not once in my life would I ever think that the pendulum would swing back so hard that conservatives are now justifying the murder of a US citizen from a government agent because the US citizen in question decided to go to a protest while having a gun on him. Not only that but the agents took the gun off him before shooting the victim in the back, and they kept firing even when the body was motionless.
