Kevin used to have visual hallucinations from chronic sleep deprivation back at the Nest. And it was honestly a nightmare because it affected his game too.

He'd step onto the court everything seeming perfectly normal and then suddenly:

"Since when do we have an owl on the court? Who let it in?"

A second later he'd realize it wasn't a bird at all—it was the ball flying straight at him.

Things like that happened to him all the time during his years with the Ravens which is exactly why sleep became so important to him once he joined the Foxes.

People find it easy to hate Kevin Day because he’s an imperfect victim. No he’s not whimpering and kind. No he didn’t prioritise someone else’s survival over his own. No he didn’t rebel and chose to adapt to survive. He isn’t any less worthy of empathy for being “a coward” or for any of the above things.

Now I’m an adult and people my age have their lives in order and I’m stuck here, confused, because I never planned to be alive and I’m so far behind.

I want to make an addition to this. I made this post a long time ago.

I’m currently back in university, and I’ve made so much progress with my trauma. I’m in a loving relationship.

Things can and will get better. It’s not too late.

Nothing is perfect by any means. But I’m happy I’m still here and didn’t kill myself. I hope you get to that point, too 💕

I’m getting married. I’m still in that loving relationship.

I’ve learned that there’s no real timeline. It’s okay. And while it sucks that I lost time, there’s still so much for me to experience and enjoy.

I got married last month! My dog is laying on me snoring. I’ve learned to have healthy friendships and relationships. I’ve learned that I’m not alone and that even when things are hard, I’m going to be okay.

I wouldn’t necessarily consider myself a kevaaron fan, but I do admit they have peak potential as academic rivals to lovers.

Because if I were Aaron, I’d truly crash out when it comes to Kevin. Nora said in the extra content that Aaron is always at the top of his class UNLESS Kevin is in the same class. And Kevin always criticizes Aaron for being worse than him with Exy. I can imagine Aaron WANTING to share a class with Kevin, since classes are something he’s better at than anybody else. His one (1) chance to outshine Kevin Day, but NOPE.

Stupid, beautiful Kevin has time to be the greatest Exy player in the world AND smoke him in all of his classes.

“now?” kevin asked, somehow blushing himself, and before jean could second guess himself, he leaned in, and they kissed and they kissed until they got it right, because this was practice after all.
