will the church absurd ever return?
Not sure when this was asked but I'll get back to you now.
Negative.
The Church Absurd was a beautiful thing when I was doing it. Once I relocated from Kentucky, the intention was to continue the show as a remote recording pod. I was on board for this, as was Deacon Sam. Time went on, I bought equipment for Sam to use. Then, after dragging his feet for 2 years and claiming that he still wanted to do it, but never sending me any test files so I could figure out the best way to mix his mic, I decided to do a last episode. While I was recording, I tried calling Sam to see if he wanted to give a little goodbye message to the fans, and he gave me a bitchy attitude and hung up. So, that basically cemented it. Sam and I haven't spoken in over 2 years. Clearly, he wasn't interested in being friends once I wasn't in Kentucky anymore. You live and you learn. I plan to continue my other projects and continue my stand-up hobby. The episodes remain up, but everything Church Absurd related is done. Even the Lonnie album has basically been abandoned. I just don't really feel the need to continue the show. We did 42 episodes and I'm okay with that.
