A series of events:
1. I put in an Annual Leave request form almost 3 weeks ago and my boss has not approved it yet
2. I went into my office today and replaced every single writing utensil with crayons in preparation for April Fools Day on Monday
3. Whilst searching for pens to remove, I found my unsigned Annual Leave form in my boss’s drawer
4. I placed my unsigned Annual Leave form in a photo frame and put in on his desk
5. The frame I used was from a photo of his kids that I deemed less important than my Leave form
6. My boss sometimes goes into the office on Saturdays to work
7.
I appreciate the context of 1-6 or else 7 might have had some very concerning implications.
Streaming Service Rant
You could make this shorter by just going “I’m a thief and refuse to pay for content”. Would save you a lot of time.
I’m a thief and refuse to pay for content and i encourage everyone else to do the same! Don’t be a little bitch like chemychems and jump aboard the ship, matey!

People who like rocks see cool rocks everywhere. People who like birds see interesting birds everywhere. The tree on your yard could be an exceptional specimen. The world around you could be amazing and magical, but you aren’t enough of a nerd to see it.
I gave my mum Alexandra Horowitz’s On Looking: Eleven Walks Through Expert Eyes for her birthday this year, it’s a book that revolves around this idea: the author invites 11 specialists in different things to walk around a boring city block with her one after the other so they can point out to her the things they see, that she doesn’t notice. There’s an expert in typography talking about what the variety of fonts on urban signs can tell you about the city’s history, an entomologist pointing out all the urban insects no one pays attention to, a geologist, a sound engineer…
See this is what I mean by “there are more wonders in this world than you can ever dream of and all you need to do is listen to its stories and see it’s magic. ”
Carol of the Bells played by basketballs
How lit is this lol
Please appreciate that those basketballs had to be inflated to different pressures to produce notes. Not only did they have to tune the balls, they had to figure out not when the balls should hit but when they should be dropped to hit at the appropriate time.
They were so focused!
for better or worse i’ve recently realized that self care, for me personally, sometimes means extra effort instead of less. like making my bed every day makes me feel good about my living space even though it’s a couple minutes of work, and plating my food nicely makes me feel like i’ve made and eaten a nice meal even if it means cleaning more dishes. i used to think self care was almost synonymous with making things easier for yourself, but sometimes challenging yourself a little tiny bit more than usual is more rewarding than doing it the easiest way, although that isn’t true for everyone, i know, it’s just how things have turned out for me
In high school I used to "break" the computers in class by taking a screenshot of the desktop, setting the desktop background as the screenshot, deleting all the icons then hiding/locking the task bar.
No offence but are you the devil?
i love seeing cardinals and bluejays together i’m always like “hehe.. evil siblings”
this is what i’m all about babyyyyy
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it a thousand more times: No piece of dystopian fiction has ever been a prediction of the future. They are observations and criticisms of the present.
“Wooow! How did Orwell predict the surveillance state so well in 1984??”
He didn’t. He was making an observation of the surveillance state that already existed in his present, and exaggerated it to make the metaphor obvious.
Learning and discussing these works in terms of them being predictions and having test questions like “do you think his prediction came true?” is not only pointless, but actively counterintuitive. When you frame these works as being ‘people from the past knew that the future would be terrible’ you shift the entire perspective to one of some kind of nostalgia for a past that didn’t exist.
These author’s aren’t oracles. They’re satirists. Their predictions ‘come true’ because they were already true when they wrote them.
It’s the same when people see tweets from last year like “It’s okay if people die as long as we can keep Outback Steakhouse open” and people posting the date of the tweet like “these tweets predicted the future!”
Those tweets observed the present. Because the capitalist idea of sacrificing lives for profit isn’t new. It’s just been taken to its extreme by the pandemic. The idea of “if something bad happens where our government and our upper class need to prioritize life over profit or thousands will die: thousands will die” is hardly prophetic, it’s basic perception.
Are these tweets eerie in how accurate they are, even coming from years ago? Yes, of course. Chillingly so. But not because they predicted something no one could have expected, but because it was already happening to such a degree and so obvious for so long that something would give, and the majority of us could do nothing but sit and wait for it to happen.

As an autistic boy, I approve.
GIVE HIM THE NUT BUTTER FOR LIIIIIFE
Hes getting his peanut butter for life!
Instead of putting shitty blue logos on products and donating to A$, companies should support autistic people with lifetime supplies of our samefoods
