How do you know you're dealing with an intuitive vs a sensor?
I look at how they're gathering information and talking about it.
Intuitives speak in patterns, themes, and implications or predictions; they jump ahead in conversations and speculate about the future, sometimes without you knowing how we got from A to Q. They care about what something means more than what it is now and skim over the details. ("I am here to speculate and theorize about what's coming or what this means...") Because of this, they're not always interested in doing anything with the information, cuz mostly what they care about is thinking or talking about it.
Sensors speak in concrete details and specifics, it's easy to follow their train of thought, they talk about what has been proven, what they saw, or direct references. They ask what exactly happened, or where you got this from, or how to use it, and prefer clear answers, instructions, or facts. They feel grounded in what is, not what "could be" in an imagined future. ("I am here to use this information and am skeptical of anything that isn't tangibly proven...") Sensors like to act, and do things with the information they get, even if it's just to apply MBTI to their family and friends.
Sensor conversations are about where they went, what they saw, what they did, what's happening with them right now, projects they are working on, etc. Intuitive conversations are about what this means, what the future could hold, what they think is going on behind the scenes, what the implications of this will be down the road, what was inferred but not said.
To a sensor, the present and the past is what matters.
To an intuitive, the future is now and they're living it.
Both have their up sides and their downsides; a sensor can get so caught up in the present, it doesn't look to the future; and an intuitive can spend so much time thinking ahead that they miss the present.
