Gift for @spookwitchghost
Everyone wants it dead. I love her.
they should legalize polyamory. everywhere. and im not kidding at all. if someone wants to marry multiple people they should be allowed to. for any reason.
Oh gosh I forgot to post him! This is another kidnapper, but I didn't have material for a bag and he's blue (the gift receiver's favorite color), so he has been dubbed the Unkidnapper.
Made a fella at a social function tonight. His name is Alien
made my best friend a lil guy for their birthday and his name is spookie
It's not as large as I wanted it to be, but this is the biggest hoop I had. I put felt on the back too so it's in its forever home too.
anyways I wanna eat it
I got a pattern book for a dollar at a garage sale called Cute Dolls by Aranzi Aronzo. I made them both within a a day respectively. The guy is called Kidnapper (obviously, he has a bag for children), and the fish is just Fish.
Neither of them are the recommended size, but the pattern book makes the patterns big enough so that tracing the pieces onto another piece of paper straight up works too.
hello people in my phone do y'all fuck with the crocheted cat blanket
aweeeeee
This post has worked way better than OP imagined I'm gonna guess. How wonderful to see all the beautiful babies in the notes and such
anyone wanna see my most horrid creation yet?
I think EVERYONE wants to see it thank you very much
Embroidery is something i've taken up this year, and it's easily one of my favorite things to do now
I primarily use stem stitch as a filler because I like how it feels as just a block of thread. The froggy doesn't have a name, but I love him so much. The hat was mostly an exercise of different directions, and it turned out way better than I thought it would.
These are good! Id like to do more embroidery this summer.
thanks! you definitely should!!
I'm thinking of selling some smaller embroidered bookmarks at some point (if I'm going to keep making them anyway I might as well) but I'm not sure if readers would be willing to pay the price of a full book for one. Idk where or how exactly I would sell them yet, but would anyone be theoretically interested in them?
$30-40 handmade bookmarks?
yes
no
(my button)
Example bookmarks (these are bigger than the ones I'd be selling but the pattern work would be similar):
did you come up with those designs yourself or did you find them? either way, those are absolutely gorgeous and you did such a wonderful job!!
poorly-lit WIP shot, but. more cowboy sewing has been in progress the last few days, mostly while watching Midsomer lol
the pockets in these pants were miserably small - everything would pop out of them every time I sat down on the toilet 🙄 - so I’d been toying for a while with the idea of replacing them. this side is done, although I might rip out the bottom stitches and extend it even further, as due to a minor fuckup I only ended up adding about an inch of depth. I also, as you can see, thought it would be fun to extend the donor fabric up past the pocket’s edge to the side seam and the waistband. I stitched heavily around the visible edges the same way I did with my patches, just bc I really like the look.
the other pocket is currently in progress, though without the peekaboo panel, because I’d have to remove the watch pocket to make it lay flat. (I dig the asymmetrical look, anyway.) I am making that one considerably deeper than the first, though, and if I’m happy with the result I’ll go back and add more fabric to the bottom of the first one.
all done entirely by hand, since our sewing machine is borked as hell, and all pretty much improvised. I’m definitely learning as I go along, lol. I’ll post better pics and more info when I’m done both sides!
SLEEVE: FIXED
genius, excellent, amazing. many applauds to you
I made a circle skirt as one does with tulip buttons, so I'm putting itty bitty tiny little tulips all along the hem like a normal person
