Since pretty much no major news sites (at least in the US) are covering it, please look into how Julian Assange, who isn’t an american citizen, will most likely be approved to be extradited to the United States, where if he’s found guilty he’ll spend the rest of his life in prison at best, and be tortured to death at worst.

While he himself hasn’t hacked into or stolen anything, he’s the man behind wikileaks, which revealed a lot of unsavory information about the United States government- including the barbaric torture of political prisoners and their families, the cold blooded, deliberate murder of iraqi civilians and two Reuters journalists (and the subsequent coverup), the active participation in genocide in yemen, and how the CIA uses smartphones, TVs, and cars to spy on their owners.

While the official ruling won’t be announced until January 4th of next year, he never had a chance at winning the extradition trial- it was purely for show. He’s spent the last years being constantly monitored and bugged- all his meetings with his lawyers have been recorded. He was also kept in a glass cage during the trial, usually reserved for dangerously violent offenders, preventing him from speaking with his legal team.

If/when he’s extradited to the United States, he will absolutely be found guilty of the charges against him and die in prison. This is an incredibly dangerous precendent- a journalist who isn’t and has never been an American citizen, will essentially be put to death for helping expose America’s crimes. Notice the silence around this from everyone- you’re not going to hear about this on CNN, or read about it in the newspaper, or see either of the presidential candidates tweeting about him, except maybe to condemn him. This is a deliberate silence, and if we don’t take it upon ourselves to learn about the blood our government has on its hands and spread that information to others, it’ll go unnoticed- which is exactly what they want. Be aware. Be angry.

Sims 3 Rags to Riches: Toddler Edition

I decided to create this because I couldn’t find a toddler version. In this challenge, you must create one young adult and (at least) one toddler sim. They can be dressed anyway you want but it might be fun to dress them in clothes someone who’s homeless might wear.

The Rules

Move them into an empty lot. You may buy them a backpack, sleeping bag/tent for the parent, and a crib for the toddler(s). You get 100 simoleons to start with.

Type “testingcheatsenabled true” into the cheat box(ctrl/cmd+shift+c), press enter, then type “familyfunds (last name) 100”

The parent may use any means to make money that’s possible, as long as they don’t have a job.

Aging must be turned off.

The toddler must be able to walk, talk, and go potty on his/her own.

Your sim may use any of the town facilities(i.e. the gym to use the restroom, shower, and bathe your toddler).

You may move them into an empty apartment/house once your sim can afford it.

Both the YA and toddler can have any traits you see fit and the parent can have any lifetime wish.

The Goal

The final goal for this challenge is for the family to live in a penthouse/house worth 50,000 simoleons.

The toddler’s skills must be maxed out.

why are there all these posts n articles n stuff that are like “girls can have short hair!” “girls can wear suits!” but all the women shown are still always only feminine, and whats actually being said is “girls can have short hair and still be feminine!” and “girls can wear suits and still be attractive to men!” like whenever women want to do something men (and sometimes other women too, but men are awful at this) have to find a way to make it Still Okay, Still Acceptable to them, instead of just letting women be! women dont need to fit any standards of femininity or beauty to do something, and they certainly don’t need mens approval

Theater kids will really be like “we deserved it.”

No you didn’t. You were passionate about something you liked. Maybe you were loud or pushy or even annoying sometimes, but nobody ever tells a football fan they’re cheering too loud. Nobody tells a basketball player that “maybe they’re a little to into this” when they watch the games on TV and know the names of all the players.

You were a member of one of the most underfunded subjects in the school system: not only an art, but one that exists outside conventional (painted) art and (choral) music, and you probably poured your heart into it and learned some valuable skills along the way.

Theater promotes speaking and communication skills, literary critical theory, as well as hands-on skills like light/sound functionality, basic carpentry, basic sewing skills, and learning to work as a team.

Theater kids, keep doing your thing and be kind to one another, okay?
