Imagine a book about dragon riders, from the dragons perspective

I honestly don’t get the hp fandom anymore. It feels like every single character is suddenly gay. And I have no problem with LGBTQ+ characters, what frustrates me is when that becomes the only thing the fic focuses on.

Apparently James and Sirius are gay because two male characters can’t love each other platonically without it being sexual. Lily’s suddenly a lesbian because making her straight is somehow “anti-feminist.” And Harry’s gay now because finding someone of the same sex attractive apparently makes you queer.

These are stereotypes of the gay community, and that’s what really bothers me. Why can’t two guys be best friends without it being romantic? What does that teach younger readers, that if two guys are close, they must be in love? Why can’t a woman be feminist without being labeled a lesbian? Does that mean if you support women’s rights, your sexuality is automatically questioned? And why can’t a man appreciate another man’s looks without being called queer or bi? But if a woman does it it’s okay, her sexuality isn’t questioned, she just appreciating beauty.

None of these characters were written that way, but fandom keeps forcing them into these boxes, and it’s exhausting
