Ayo! Welcome to my blog

Hello whoever you are, welcome to my blog. Think of this like an intro post if you wanna get the gist of who I am. I’m Charles (although Chiara is fine too) and I’m a history student who also sometimes talks about planes. If you ever wanna chat to me about those, or just generally, you’re always welcome. Same goes for some of my misc interests you’ll probably figure out whilst going through my blog. I’m always happy to chat and asks are always open.

I don’t have a specific ‘DNI’ criteria or anything. Just don’t be a dick. I’ve got better things to do than argue about if people should be shunned on the base of kinks or if certain identities “don’t exist” and you do too. Only real thing I would say is terfs/radfems aren’t welcome here, same goes for people who actively engage in kink and/or general queer “discourse”. People who are like that I will block.

Main things to note before following me is I reblog very liberally. This place is my dumping ground of whatever I so choose, and I don’t tend to organise it besides a few key tags. Granted, you are always welcome to poke me if I reblog from a terf or something as I may not catch that. Same applies for if there are certain things you need me to tag. I don’t generally tag possible triggers but if you need me too, just throw me an ask or DM and I’ll do it.

Another thing too, I use and call myself the f slur and d slur in a reclaimed manner. They’re what I’ve been insulted as, but they’re also part of my identity and how I choose to self identify. Need be, I can tag that.

Believe it or not, I do also draw! I don't use my art blog much or really post my art online but if you're interested in what I do, @flyingcattocreations is where ya go.

I just think everyone should take a moment to consider the question "what is your visual shorthand for cruelty?" and then follow it up with a critical "and who taught you that?"

why is an evil timeline character design disabled? (why do the heroes go through equally punishing battles and never lose an arm, a leg, an eye?)

why are the futuristic scifi terrorists uniformly darker skinned? (why are the heroes so much lighter?)

why is the greedy boss fat? (why are the heroes skinny?)

why is the criminal mastermind heavily scarred? (why is the brooding, traumatized hero unscathed?)

why is the predatory creep a bearded person in a dress and makeup? (why are none of the heroes trans women?)

This is legitimately useful reframing. A while ago I started replacing the word "cop" in my vocabulary with "a man with a gun." It really puts things into perspective.

This homeless person is making me uncomfortable. Should I call [a man with a gun]?

My neighbor is having a loud party. Should I get [a man with a gun] involved?

There are some teenagers skateboarding. Do you think [a man with a gun] would get rid of them for me?

It makes it very clear what you're saying. I can call a man with a gun to threaten or hurt someone mildly inconveniencing me. You're not calling the cops, you're calling A MAN WITH A GUN into a situation that does not warrant a firearm handled by a volatile lunatic who will not be held accountable for his actions.
