"Oh, but canon regulus would never." WHAT CANON REGULUS we know like two facts about him and that's IT
dock (guys I almost wrote dick by accident) - @jeggyverses-jegulus-microfic - word count: 358
“My dad proposed to my mom there,” James said nonchalantly as he and Regulus walked down to the Hogwarts boathouse, gesturing to the gently-rocking dock that was floating on the water.
Regulus blinked, looking towards where his boyfriend was pointing. It’d been a long day. Receiving a letter from his own parents had left him feeling hollow and hopeless, and no matter how many times James had assured him that he would be okay, that they would figure this out, that they would stay together….he couldn’t find it in himself to stay positive.
Still, he humored James with a question. “What, he brought her back or something? Years later?” he muttered, trying to find it in himself to care.
“No.”
This got his attention a little.
“How…?”
“Well, not the first time. He proposed for the first time when they were, like….fifteen, I think? Did a terrible job of it,” James beamed, obviously remembering a funny story as Regulus stood, shocked. “He was nervous. Fell right in the water and he obviously didn’t have a ring. But the second time, the day they graduated, he did better. Made it official and all that.”
Regulus’s heart was hammering in his chest. “They were so young,” he whispered, fingers trembling. But fuck, why did he feel so hopeful? Why did he feel like…?
“They’ve been together for thirty years and are still happier than ever. They knew what they wanted, Reg. I’m like them in that way,” James said casually, shrugging and looking down at him with so much fondness Regulus considered bursting on the spot.
He waited to perhaps become engaged. Or die of anticipation. Or maybe just faint.
“I wouldn’t do it without asking,” James said softly, pulling him close, causing his body to fill with a mixture of relief and, oddly, disappointment. “But…maybe…someday soon…I’m asking to ask?”
Regulus couldn’t decide what to do as he inhaled James’s scent. “Shit, James, that’s insane,” he breathed.
“But you’re not saying no.” He felt James smile against his hair.
He smirked a little as well, because as always, James knew him too well. “I’m…not saying no,” he relented.
med student evan teaching a serial killer barty how to get rid of a body
Pandora Rosier is so coloured tattoos. She's dew clinging to spiderwebs and frost-coated grass, she's old dollhouses and vintage dresses that make her look like a ghost. She's unbrushed hair and bare feet, she's mismatched teacups and painted birdhouses and unwanted dolls labeled as creepy. She's humming under her breath as she brews a deadly potion poured into an ornate crystal cup, she's pebbles on the ground rearranged into something only she understands, she's beautiful poisonous flowers, she's talking to the plants as though they get her, because, in a way, they are the only ones that do. She's abstract paintings nobody thought to glance at for more than a passing moment, she's entering and exiting rooms unnoticed, she's murmuring to the squid that lives in the Black lake like it's her friend. She's broken instruments and white mascara and expired lipstick in shades no one else would wear, she's shattered picture frames and torn photos, she's burnt out candles and leaking jars and bruised fruit and mismatched bedsheets and overgrown, chipped nails painted in every colour she could find and teddies with their stuffing spilling out. She's head tilted back, unseeing eyes open as words that do not belong to her spill from her mouth, telling of death and despair as she struggles to breathe. She's dreams plagued by vivid visions of the tragic demise of everyone she loves. She's clawing at her own skin, furious as the first comes true, as the boy who hated water drowns silently, unwitnessed. She's forcing herself to not care as she hears that her brother, her other half, is gone, not letting herself choke as she sees a photo in the newspaper of a ragged man with an eye that is not his, a blue that matched only her own, rolling in its artificial socket. She's watching her best friend follow her brother into morals that aren't his, knowing she cannot stop the way he would go anywhere to be with the love of his life. She's hearing of how her only friend that didn't cross to the side of murder and curses was taken from the earth. She's realising she is truly alone. She's throwing herself into her experiments, pushing away anyone who tries to warn her of the risks until they stop trying. She's grateful as her body is thrown back, knowing she is finally free of struggles beyond her capability to handle, she's grieving the life she could have had with her beautiful daughter, knowing it would never have been complete anyway, she's guilty for leaving the one man who never abandoned her. She's relieved as she feels that this breath will be her last. She is beautiful and uncanny and different and broken and perfect.

I don't think Regulus Black ever wanted to leave.
I think that's the part people forget.
He wasn't a martyr who welcomed the end, nor a hero chasing glory. He was eighteen. He had people to love, apologies left unsaid, a brother he still hoped would one day look at him without anger. He had a future he hadn't finished imagining.
I think, even as the Inferi pulled him beneath the water, he was still trying to make it back.
Still fighting.
Still reaching.
Still believing that if he could hold on for one more second, there had to be another way. A way where Voldemort fell and he still got to go home. A way where Sirius was safe and he was there to see it. A way where James laughed too loudly, where his friends grew older beside him, where his mother found peace, where life continued with him still inside it.
I don't think his final breaths were a scream.
I think they were names.
Sirius.
James.
Barty.
Evan.
Pandora.
Dorcas.
Walburga.
Narcissa.
Not because he wanted them to remember him.
Because he couldn't bear the thought of letting them go.
As the water closed around him, he held onto the only things it couldn't carry away: the people he loved. He kept their names close, as if saying them one last time meant they would stay with him, even if he couldn't stay with them.
People call it a noble sacrifice.
I think it was something far more heartbreaking.
A frightened eighteen-year-old with his whole life waiting for him, still hoping that somehow, somehow, he'd get to come home.
I can never explain how much I love the concept of james being the sun, remus being the moon, and sirius and regulus being stars in the night sky
to add to that I think lily would be shooting stars and pandora the clouds, barty would be a black hole and evan the vastness of space
marlene would be rain and dorcas the ocean that receives it
lastly narcissa would be a river, and alice the flowers that grows by the bank.
Me when I see anything related to a moon and a star:
